Let me tell ya'll a fun little small world story. A couple years ago back when Mild Orange was barely known to anyone I was working as a treeplanter in Northern Canada. I was out in a remote little camp in the middle of nowhere with other people who I didn't really know. One evening after work I was relaxing outside playing music from my speaker, I just so happened to be playing Mild Orange. Everyone was vibing to the music and a few moments later this guy comes over and says out loud "Who's playing the music right now?!", I was like "uhhh its me" and with the biggest smile and shocked face he says "Dude these guys are my friends from NZ! They play at the local bar just down my street". My mind was blown LOL, turns out he's from NZ and is on a work visa travelling Canada. Such a crazy moment.

This is a rather tragic story, I wish the ending wasn't so undecided. I definitely know what I'd like the ending to feel like, I just can't fathom it being attainable yet.
I found this album with my ex while tripping on acid in Goa. Whenever I listen to this album it takes me back there in that moment of pure love and bliss. This band will always hold a special place in my heart because of this. I'm so happy I found this gem :)

Woooooow!!!! I was making orange scented candles and I wanted an orange themed soundtrack. This is what came up. I have never heard this or heard of this. LOVED IT. This album has helped me study all the way trough medical school, the songs get me going no matter what happens and helps me focus on the books. listening to this almost three years apart today. I had runaway to an unknown place and suddenly life had taken the worst turn. I took out my phone, looked at myself and cried about how sad and internally screaming the person in front of me looked, and then my youtube in background played "oh, hello, how are you? are ready? it's mild orange". I remember it so vividly mahn! like happiness was out of me and i was surrounded w people and parties but my essence ust wasnt there but there was an odd chuckle and calm amidst that anxiety. I told myself to listen to this again someday when i am in a better place and can laugh it off how awesome and important that low point was. this is that day. cheers :)
When I had first started university, I loved spending time on youtube to find the perfect soundtrack for my hours of studying. On my 2nd year I found this album and I used to play this video on repeat 4-5 times per day everyday for about one year. That was also the year I fell in love, the year I loved the most in my life, I have never loved like that again. It's been 6 years since then. I'm a doctor now, I graduated two years ago and everything has changed since then. It gives me some kind of comfort finding that this video is still here, that at least this little thing hasn't changes. I'm playing this album again, as I'm working now, and I reminish of those good times.

Listening to this makes me feel so beautiful and right. I feel love for everyone who listen to this kind of music. I think we have a lot of similarities.
Mild Orange is formed in Dunedin, Otago region in South Island of New Zealand. It's mostly a student town - all Mild Orange members studied at Otago University. It's a cold, hilly town, with damp old houses with Scotish heritage. Also a place of good beer and alternative people, and an amazing music scene.
This is the best album for me. I wish their new single was like this old stuff. We all change. This is always going to be something personal to me in a time when life was flowing to a high during the summer. Found what I was going to do with my life but most importantly, this album helped me work and also helped me enjoy my days.
I was here before the Gandalf. Somehow, I forgot about it. But I remember, typing in "Hartless Bastards" "only for you" and getting here. So I followed my path again. Years have passed.
I remember once feeling all the good music is in the past, I'm sure many others felt that way, truth is you just gotta look in the right places for the real stuff
There's more good music than you think! Look at gorillaz, crumb, the unknown mortal orchestra, and la luz, those are just modern producing bands off the top of my head!

listening to this almost three years apart today. I had runaway to an unknown place and suddenly life had taken the worst turn. I took out my phone, looked at myself and cried about how sad and internally screaming the person in front of me looked, and then my youtube in background played "oh, hello, how are you? are ready? it's mild orange". I remember it so vividly mahn! like happiness was out of me and i was surrounded w people and parties but my essence ust wasnt there but there was an odd chuckle and calm amidst that anxiety. I told myself to listen to this again someday when i am in a better place and can laugh it off how awesome and important that low point was. this is that day. cheers :)

When I had first started university, I loved spending time on youtube to find the perfect soundtrack for my hours of studying. On my 2nd year I found this album and I used to play this video on repeat 4-5 times per day everyday for about one year. That was also the year I fell in love, the year I loved the most in my life, I have never loved like that again. It's been 6 years since then. I'm a doctor now, I graduated two years ago and everything has changed since then. It gives me some kind of comfort finding that this video is still here, that at least this little thing hasn't changes. I'm playing this album again, as I'm working now, and I reminish of those good times.

Mild Orange is formed in Dunedin, Otago region in South Island of New Zealand. It's mostly a student town - all Mild Orange members studied at Otago University. It's a cold, hilly town, with damp old houses with Scotish heritage. Also a place of good beer and alternative people, and an amazing music scene.
This is the best album for me. I wish their new single was like this old stuff. We all change. This is always going to be something personal to me in a time when life was flowing to a high during the summer. Found what I was going to do with my life but most importantly, this album helped me work and also helped me enjoy my days.
