Axil XCOR Review - Are They Worth It?

- Today we're taking a look at the Axil XCOR Wireless Ear Bud (and bluetooth) hearing protection set. These slick little units found their way into my kit through fancy and persistent marketing, but will they remain in my shooting bag or are there better options for the price?

Nice work. I bought some and like them much more than the wired units. Also it’s that speed / reaction time these units react that make it sweet for me.
I've had mine for several months now, and they are my primary earphones for everything, including range ear pro. I love them!
Do you have trouble connecting them to Bluetooth? Mine seem to be degrading after a few months of use and I can’t get them to connect anymore
Love your honest review. I may just get the non-bt version for $120 because I really don't see me using the bluetooth function.
That’s not a bad idea. After using them a couple of days a week for three months, I rarely use the Bluetooth. These go on sale a lot too, I’d wait for them to put em on sale if they aren’t currently. Good luck!
Great review and to the point. Thank you for that and saving my time 🙏
No problem, glad I could help!
I have a set and am disappointed with the noise reduction. It is nowhere near the advertised -29 db. They do function well in other areas but for the intended purpose, these earbuds are wholly inadequate.
Look into the ISOtunes free2.0
I wander if the skull screws ear pieces would fit on these, they do fit on the Otto noise barriers.
Unfortunately that's a repeating trend with anything geared towards gun pro.
The sound quality is almost always dog shit 😂 but they DO serve their purpose for protecting your ears like a champ. This doesn't apply to just Axil either. My Walkers music sound bad too. Very flat. But the noise amplification and sound reductions are phenomenal
If they could make their music sound as good as "Between Pro" or "Skullcandy" they'd be the best ear pros of all time.
Very helpful ty!
Got the non-bt version for 50% off so 100 bucks. Glad I waited for a deal. They are good. Have wired bt Axil ear pro and didn't like the wire flopping around behind my head.
Awesome review!
Wow I should’ve listened to this before ordering today. But at least I got them for $150. Maybe they took your advice 😁 thanks
Hah! That is kind of funny they are now the exact price I said I'd pay for them, I'll just pretend I had that much influence!
Good review, thanks
Thanks for watching!
Got them was not a fan the enhanced hearing had a loud constant hissing sound made them unusable and with it off no point might as well just use some foam ear plugs for far cheaper.
They’re on sale for 40% off for president’s day. I just posted ordered a pair.
Oh darn I wish I caught that sale! I’ve been using them more and they are growing on me.
@@QualitySportsmanif you didn’t buy it too long ago, return it and rebuy with the discount.
Or is your hearing being damaged and it’s not as loud anymore. Lol.
I have the digital only and I think they work well. 120.00
Good to hear, I used these for my shooting match this past weekend (check out my newest video drop about the DMR match!) and I liked them more and more, but didn't really use the bluetooth functionality. I could see just getting the digitals and being pretty happy at that price point.
Whats 😮differense between using this and an airpod?
AirPods do not reduce gun shot noise
I haven’t used AirPod pros, I can’t imagine much difference other than the AirPods not having the noise suppression feature, I.e. letting sound through but cancelling loud noises
@@QualitySportsman the AirPod pros do actually offer a sound reduction feature. Also based at 85 dB I believe. That said, I am a pilot and am around jet noise, up close and personal all the time. I use my pros on noise canceling mode and am surprised how good it actually works. I haven’t tried shooting with them, but honestly, after seeing the failure of these… I might give it a shot this weekend.
What brake is that you're using?
Sorry just saw this. That’s a brake that I got on this upper from GrendelHunter.
Does it filter out the wind noise too? Thanks
Not really. You can hear the wind but it’s not too terribly loud
Volume control?
For the active hearing, I don’t believe there’s sound control, but obviously you can control the sound of the Bluetooth using your phone volume.
