Désolée d'émettre des réserves sur votre vidéo. C'est un tissu de contre-vérités. Je viens de rentrer de Cuba et, contrairement à vous, Cuba n'est pas pour moi un objet esthétique "cool". Les Cubains sont des gens dignes et courageux qui supportent un blocus indécent depuis 60 ans, orchestré par la première puissance mondiale (plus pour longtemps, je l'espère), les States. Les States ne supportent pas qu'un autre pays leur tienne tête et promeuve un modèle alternatif au néolibéralisme. Leur haine du régime cubain leur semble justifier des politiques GÉNOCIDAIRES, sous le prétexte grossier de défense de la démocratie. Avec un médecin pour 200 habitants, la politique de santé à Cuba est du même niveau que celle des pays les plus développés. Seul bémol, en raison du blocus américain, les médecins cubains voient mourir des enfants, des personnes du cancer et autres maladies sans pouvoir leur offrir des traitements adéquats. En conclusion (votre soi-disant reportage ne vaut pas que l'on s'y attarde ...), soit vous ne comprenez rien à la réalité qui vous entoure (naïveté, superficialité), soit vous êtes d'une extrême mauvaise foi. Une seule question s'impose : pour qui marchez/roulez-vous? Qui vous paye? Consultez les décisions annuelles de l'ONU, où À L'UNANIMITÉ MOINS DEUX VOIX (États-Unis et Israël), tous les pays votent chaque année la suppression du blocus des States contre Cuba, blocus DONT VOUS NIEZ L'EXISTENCE (NÉGATIONNISME). Alors, il n'existe pas le blocus?????
Une dernière chose : attention à l'ignorance crasse! Fidel Castro n'était pas un immigré espagnol. Il était bel et bien cubain. La population cubaine est composée de descendants d'Espagnols et d'Africains ; c'est un melting-pot. Les Ricains devraient pouvoir comprendre cette notion. On se demandait comment les Cubains - au vu de cette réalité - pouvaient considérer les États-Unis autrement qu'avec haine. »

Cuba can negotiate and currently negotiates with more than 100+ countries, to buy whatever they want including food, medicines and medical equipment. In fact: 80% of the Cuban food comes the U.S. which is the largest supplier of food to Cuba.
Canada, UK, Netherlands, Spain, China, Brazil, France, Venezuela, Russia, Argentina and Italy are some Cuba's top trading partners. American companies, including Marriott and United Airlines do business with Cuba.
Most Cuban’s problems are related to the lack of quality services and good to export. Mostly for inefficiency and extreme corruption.

I think you’re playing with words. In fact, the real question is not whether Cuba is suffering a blockade or an embargo … This is a juridical issue. The problem is the lack of legitimacy of the sanctions that the US have been imposing to this little country for 60 years until today. Even if it were an embargo … The effects of an embargo can be disastrous. I remind you that the embargo imposed by the US to Iraq caused 500 000 deaths, among which 350 000 children’s deaths. So … you perfectly know that an embargo, as much as a blockade, is a weapon of war which produces hunger and starvation. Does really Cuba deserve that punishment for choosing an alternative system? This punishment is a neocolonialist phenomenon.
But first of all, your sentence is not logical: “a country that doesn’t believe in the market can’t be affected by economic sanctions”. It’s as if you said: “a person who doesn’t like to eat cannot die of starvation”. Cuba doesn’t reject trading and development. Cuba rejects neo liberal ideology, its individualism, its selfishness, its lack of solidarity, its consumerism. Cuba doesn’t want to be a society where you don’t exist if you aren’t a consumer.
Trading has been the foundation of almost all societies for ages. This activity is not an exclusivity of capitalism and neoliberalism. Countries need to trade to survive and develop themselves. But for Anglo-Saxon neoliberalism, trade is more than a tool, it’s a religion and you can kill for it. Cuba doesn’t believe in the market as if it were a dogma. You punish Cuba for that reason, because you want to impose the new religion.
You perfectly know that Cuba hasn’t the right to negotiate in dollars and this is a tremendous impediment to development. They can’t even buy any product whose manufacture involves a US patent.
You refer also to lack of quality and efficiency. But I can’t believe that a country which has been able to eradicate illiteracy and has a rate of one doctor for 200 inhabitants can’t be efficient and can’t produce goods of quality …
Concerning corruption, I really believe that, at the moment, the US shouldn’t give lessons to other countries because Biden’s family is involved in very serious problems of corruption, drugs, money laundering, conflict of interests, …
Regarding casinos and prostitution … Casinos were forbidden by Fidel Castro after the revolution (1959) and nowadays procuring is forbidden. A woman can earn money “by selling her body” for pleasure or to improve her standard of living, but she is a “sole trader”. No one has the right to exploit her. Concerning mafia, your affirmation is a gratuitous statement. Anyway, even if mafia existed nowadays in Cuba, it would be a Cuban mafia instead of a mafia imposed by the American colonizer. Remember that the US offered the “Hotel Nacional” to Lucky Luciano in La Havana as the headquarter of mafia. A beautiful gift, indeed!
