- I bet you that this song has something you've never heard before. Pine cones. One of the most freeing things about making music is that you can use absolutely anything. Normally the small percussion is what you'd expect, shakers and things of that sort. One thing you might not know about me is that I keep lots of seemingly useless things around. I have a shelf with sticks, a large branch and pine cones all of which feature pretty heavily in the tune. You might be able to pick them out in the calmer sections like at 02:25, the swoosh of the branch and the tippy-taps of the sticks and the guiro-like pine cones. If you're going to write something about nature, why not feature it!
I have to say that one of the greatest perks of being a somewhat established musician is that I get the opportunity to work with great people. It's been a while since I did a collaborative tune, and now I have two lined up, of which this is the first. I hope to do even more soon, it's so much fun!
This time I got to meet the fantastic Elvya and borrow her ethereal voice talents for this song.

I kept hearing your work in the Blue Turtle compilations, and they stood out to me so much and were constantly my favorites that I finally decided to find and subscribe to this channel. Next thing I know you drop this and man it is beautiful and strangely calming despite the energy it has.

Hello Vindsvept. Have you ever thought about making vlogs on your UA-cam channel from time to time? Even though I see it on Patreon, it would be nice to see the environment in which you make music on your UA-cam channel.
Hey! I've thought about it a lot throughout the years. It is pretty silly to have strictly music on a platform dedicated to video.
A few things make me hesitant though. Firstly my space isn't at all conducive for video making and I honestly don't really have a personality that's really fit for it. I'd love to give it a go someday though just to see what happens. The first thing I'll attempt will probably be a short music course of some kind just to see if I can do that kind of media, but I'd need a better working space and work a lot on it as a whole so it's probably at least a year or two in the future.
