The fact that a boy who had no intention of becoming an idol was found by SM and then he worked hard to the point that he excels in all the qualities of an idol. In your life there will always be obstacles. Nothing in life comes for free. Hardships and failures are a part of life. There will be people who mock you, laugh at you, tell you to give up. But it's you who take the final decision. Your life is what you make it. And when you succeed, thank yourself first. Because it was you who decided not to give up.

That's why they are very flexible in one or more areas (singing,dancing,rapping, etc) Also, I noticed that YG finds people really with the aura of confidence for their artists.

As a dancer myself i want to say this: The way or like his style is really.........ummm.. unique? Like if you try to dance like him, no matter how good you can dance it will look stiff. If you analyze is really carefully the way he moves is kinda weird but it looks really mesmerising tbh like no one can pull that dance style like him 😔✊
His determination was strong. He was a hard working person. You can see his determination in his eyes. He goes from zero to hero. He is an idol who everyone can admire cause he can inspire many people. Lee Taeyong, you are the best! :)
When people say that every idol has talent since the beginning, it’s not always true. Yes, some are born with a gifted voice, some are born amazing dancers. But some idols, like Taeyong, were born not even having the thought of being an idol and start with 0 talent to being part of one of the hottest kpop group across the globe. Hard work ALWAYS pays off, never give up guys, never.
Taeyong from beginning has that talent but it still doesnt show yet or he never realize that before. So depends on his hard work to pull that talent out. SM can see it so they offered him the audition and taeyong becomes who he is now.

I saw the interview just the other day that he said he was scouted and couldn't sing or dance. I thought that was amazing considering how I always thought he has the most insane stage presence and was born to perform. Shows how much hard work he put into training.

ikrr at first there are many trainees picked for their visual but in the end it's depend on them, they want to improve or not. because if they are not hardworking and good enough they wont be debuted under SM. there are many ex-SM trainee in other company or give up already, so we can make sure the one debuted is really the chosen one. and good in every aspect, talent, visual, and attitude

I think the most crazy thing abt Taeyong is how you can see him grow and get better by basically every performance through the last years, i think he has the strongest learning ability I’ve ever seen in kpop
this is mainly about me and how taeyong inspired me from this video so y'all don't have to read this if you aren't interested lol but anyways the fact that he started when he was 18 (he might have been 17 bc maybe his korean age was 18 ? idk but regardless of that) is so inspiring for me bc i've been wanting to be a good dancer ever since i was 14-15 when i first got into kpop one thing that discouraged me a bit was the fact that most of the dancers from kpop that inspired me to dance in the first place/that i look up to all started dancing when they were like 5 years old or just really young in general (momo from twice, seulgi from rv, seungyeon from clc, sinb from gf, lisa from bp and so many more but mainly these) i was also really inconsistent with my dancing back then and picking up dancing again at 18 made me feel a bit behind but now knowing that taeyong is so good at dancing and he started at 18 is so motivating for me anyways taeyong is an amazing leader and such an inspiration and i'm so glad to be a fan of his right now and i know that he's inspiring so many others too because of his leadership and how talented he is and how hard-working he is thank you for coming to my tedtalk
DUDE SAME I RELATE SO MUCH TO THIS I took up classical dancing at a young age but was so hopeless that my parents had to pull me out of it. I didn't dance for years until I got into kpop 2 years ago and tried a choreo a year back in january, when I was 17. Since then, I've been desperately wanting to get into dancing but all good dancers that I know (kpop and others) started out extremely young. So it was pretty discouraging and hopeless. Looking at taeyong and how much he improved fills me with so much motivation to start dancing again.
Same i wanted to get into a dance class when i was younger but i never got the opportunity too, and now that I'm 16 i felt really bad cause i thought that i was way behind, but Taeyong has definitely inspired me to try harder and keep going Don't mind me just wanted to share my story

I researched a bit about this: most people don’t get casted off the street for no reason. Usually, it’s ulzzangs or people with REALLY good looks. In Taeyong’s case, that’s probably why he got casted (due to the fact he also modeled when he was younger for a T-shirt company). SM is known for casting a lot of idols with good looks too, so it’s nothing new. The person may have no talent, but that’s what SM is there to do. They train the trainee to have talent at either singing, dancing, acting, or rapping (most of the time, it’s a combination). So to everyone who is like me and feel like they have no talent, look at Taeyong and see how far he has come in his skill with rapping and dancing. Your dreams are never too far away! Taeyong is really a role model despite he started late in training and his dancing teacher gave up on him but he didn't gave up on himself and then he had to face such struggles in his early debut . But manage to have the motivation to keep working hard even when the whole world was against him. He is such a passionate person in his work and life in general. Mad respect to This boy👏
You can tell Taeyong has changed significantly over the years. Not just dance, but everything else that contributes to Kpop such as rapping, singing, songwriting, and producing. I swear his story is like a 5 min excursion filled with emotions, and seeing the progress this "White paper" made within a few years gives me goosebumps.
Taeyong is not just a leader to NCT, but to the general public. People looking for a reason to not give up. The fact that he never had any kind of intention of becoming an idol but auditioned anyway, and passed! Truly inspiring and I can't wait to see more content like this!
People should see this video and be inspired and motivated. I'm a guy and I listen to all of NCT's music because I like their westernized and unique concept. As I dug deeper into NCT even though it's debatable, I can say that Ten is the best dancer in all of NCT because of his natural talent but Taeyong is my favorite in the group. It it just inspiring to know his story. On how he was just nothing to becoming something special through hard work and perseverance. And his past mistakes (real or not) just shows that everyone can't be perfect will constantly make mistakes. I just get inspired and motivated from his story that he is one my role models and I respect him for it. This video is just great and should be seen more by NCTzens and other people too
That's why this boy, more than just being my bias, is also my role model. Before, I didn't have any confidence in my dancing skills, i learned Blackpink's As if it's your last in TWO years (still can't do it properly right now but i would only practice it when my friends came over tho, so not often). Then, I started learning NCT's dances with his fancam. I soon found out that boygroups' dances were more suited for me. I would say, my moves are too rough for a girl ? I've always hated this part about me but thanks to Taeyong I learned how to embrace and turn what i thought were my defaults into my best qualities... I know I still lack a lot, but at least he gave me the motivation to improve myself. He doesn't know who I am and yet... I'm so grateful, it feels like I owe him one. Okay -- SM found a diamond in the rough on the street and then polished it into a sparkling jewel. Taeyong has PASSION and TALENT. Both those things cannot be taught. They can be nurtured and encouraged but, take my word for this -- no amount of hard work would have ever turned me into the genius dancer that he is!
I also think that if you have a good built of body, the result when you were dancing is nice and smooth. Same with EXO Kai.. Both has a nice body and they aren't the center for nothing though 👑
People seem to look past why he is center, why he is main dancer, why he is main rapper. I love all the members, and they all worked hard. But some credit is due. The moment he sticks out, "Oh, it'd Taeyong... again" I mean bish, what do you think centers do? Not being in the spotlight? And it sickens me people don't appreciate him because he's Taeyong. His greatness is expected, and sometimes looked down upon. People don't hype him when he makes choreography, produces music, write lyrics or being the absolutely best leader there is but still remaining humble. Why? Cause he's fu*king Lee Taeyong. I agree with BoA. Those words are both a blessing and a curse. People tend to forget what a great performer he is. They get mad when he gets attention, and throws around "ow, the other members deserve the spotlight as well". And a toxic part of me wants to scream out "THEN TELL YOUR FAVES TO STICK OUT!!" and while I know that it's mostly SM's fault that he's seen as a spotlight hogger. But I'm getting tired of a large amount of the fandom, not saying that he has no skill, but not acknowledging it, or simply disregard all his efforts and hard work because it's what's expected of him. Taeyong could go Solo and have a very successful career, but he decided that he wants to see his members succeed first. I'm gonna say this, the T in NCT stands for Taeyong.

His progress is so fast, I mean he became a trainee in 2012 and became a center, main dancer & main rapper since when SM introduced the Smrookies in 2013. He only needed more than a year to get that title, I mean, I can't imagine how struggle he faced while undergoing that process. This inspired me a lot. I used to dance as a hobby in the middle school but I wasn't really that good. I made a cover group with others kpop dancers I know and after 6 months I was kicked out lol (they told me I wasn't good enough for yt/ig videos or live performances). So I gave up on dance to focus on my studies and now I entered the university I wanna dance again but I'm truly bad at it. I was so sad, I cried and almost gave up but Taeyong, as a angel himself, gave me strength and courage to try again!!! Love you, Taeyong 💚
I had a major breakdown yesterday, because I lack the skills needed to work in the musical theatre (I've always wanted to become a musical actress) and there's almost no possibility to learn those in my city. And because of that I am so incredibly happy to see this video today. It really gave me the hope and motivation to just try and learn as much as I only can and try getting into a musical theatre university when I finish high school. I always look up to Taeyong. He is so inspirational. I’m almost 18 and I’ve always wanted to dance but I never told my parents that I have that kind of dream. And I often regret that I didn’t tell them and sometimes I think that it’s too late for me. Many of my friends from school have been learning to dance for around 5 years or more. One year ago, when I fist discover NCT by wattpad story, Taeyong immediately catches my attention, when I saw him performed 7th sense era, I already fall inlove with him until superhuman era not only by his unreal beauty but also in his rap and dancing. Now... after I watched this vedio. I don't know what is the other term for DEEP, because really. I fall hard and deep for taeyong. He is beyond standard as an Idol, and I don't have regrets stanning talents and SM artists. From SNSD, EXO, RED VELVET AND NCT. This is really inspiring story of him, becoming so so so so much talented after a few years of training. Well he is born hardworking and determined. And he really is a good example of a person who does not easily discourage by words of disappointments, instead he helps himself and work hard to learn and learn and learn and discover his hidden talents. His not only handsome, not only talented but a man with high courage and determination. I don't know how many praises well be enough for him... he's just tooooo good!
There's just something in him that makes you fall for him even more. From his stunning visual to his superb talent to his personality, the way he leads nct and takes care of his members and fans ugghhh😍
I genuinely think he was born with the talent but it was dormant. For real for real because only someone that was born to be a performer can have the stage presence and charisma this man has. It’s one thing to learn how to dance and sing but stage presence isn’t someone that’s taught. He worked super hard and the talent that was already within him aligned with him naturally to produce one of the top 5 kpop idol in the whole industry❤️

But some idols, like Taeyong, were born not even having the thought of being an idol and start with 0 talent to being part of one of the hottest kpop group across the globe. Taeyong from beginning has that talent but it still doesnt show yet or he never realize that before. So depends on his hard work to pull that talent out. SM can see it so they offered him the audition and taeyong becomes who he is now.

but anyways the fact that he started when he was 18 (he might have been 17 bc maybe his korean age was 18 ? idk but regardless of that) is so inspiring for me bc i've been wanting to be a good dancer ever since i was 14-15 when i first got into kpop
one thing that discouraged me a bit was the fact that most of the dancers from kpop that inspired me to dance in the first place/that i look up to all started dancing when they were like 5 years old or just really young in general (momo from twice, seulgi from rv, seungyeon from clc, sinb from gf, lisa from bp and so many more but mainly these)
i was also really inconsistent with my dancing back then and picking up dancing again at 18 made me feel a bit behind but now knowing that taeyong is so good at dancing and he started at 18 is so motivating for me
anyways taeyong is an amazing leader and such an inspiration and i'm so glad to be a fan of his right now and i know that he's inspiring so many others too because of his leadership and how talented he is and how hard-working he is thank you for coming to my tedtalk

I took up classical dancing at a young age but was so hopeless that my parents had to pull me out of it. I didn't dance for years until I got into kpop 2 years ago and tried a choreo a year back in january, when I was 17. Since then, I've been desperately wanting to get into dancing but all good dancers that I know (kpop and others) started out extremely young. So it was pretty discouraging and hopeless.
Looking at taeyong and how much he improved fills me with so much motivation to start dancing again.

I researched a bit about this: most people don’t get casted off the street for no reason. Usually, it’s ulzzangs or people with REALLY good looks. In Taeyong’s case, that’s probably why he got casted (due to the fact he also modeled when he was younger for a T-shirt company). SM is known for casting a lot of idols with good looks too, so it’s nothing new. The person may have no talent, but that’s what SM is there to do. They train the trainee to have talent at either singing, dancing, acting, or rapping (most of the time, it’s a combination). So to everyone who is like me and feel like they have no talent, look at Taeyong and see how far he has come in his skill with rapping and dancing. Your dreams are never too far away! Taeyong is really a role model despite he started late in training and his dancing teacher gave up on him but he didn't gave up on himself and then he had to face such struggles in his early debut . But manage to have the motivation to keep working hard even when the whole world was against him. He is such a passionate person in his work and life in general. Mad respect to This boy👏

You can tell Taeyong has changed significantly over the years. Not just dance, but everything else that contributes to Kpop such as rapping, singing, songwriting, and producing. I swear his story is like a 5 min excursion filled with emotions, and seeing the progress this "White paper" made within a few years gives me goosebumps.

People should see this video and be inspired and motivated. I'm a guy and I listen to all of NCT's music because I like their westernized and unique concept. As I dug deeper into NCT even though it's debatable, I can say that Ten is the best dancer in all of NCT because of his natural talent but Taeyong is my favorite in the group. It it just inspiring to know his story. On how he was just nothing to becoming something special through hard work and perseverance. And his past mistakes (real or not) just shows that everyone can't be perfect will constantly make mistakes. I just get inspired and motivated from his story that he is one my role models and I respect him for it. This video is just great and should be seen more by NCTzens and other people too
That's why this boy, more than just being my bias, is also my role model. Before, I didn't have any confidence in my dancing skills, i learned Blackpink's As if it's your last in TWO years (still can't do it properly right now but i would only practice it when my friends came over tho, so not often). Then, I started learning NCT's dances with his fancam. I soon found out that boygroups' dances were more suited for me. I would say, my moves are too rough for a girl ? I've always hated this part about me but thanks to Taeyong I learned how to embrace and turn what i thought were my defaults into my best qualities... I know I still lack a lot, but at least he gave me the motivation to improve myself. He doesn't know who I am and yet... I'm so grateful, it feels like I owe him one.

Okay -- SM found a diamond in the rough on the street and then polished it into a sparkling jewel. Taeyong has PASSION and TALENT. Both those things cannot be taught. They can be nurtured and encouraged but, take my word for this -- no amount of hard work would have ever turned me into the genius dancer that he is!

People seem to look past why he is center, why he is main dancer, why he is main rapper. I love all the members, and they all worked hard. But some credit is due. The moment he sticks out, "Oh, it'd Taeyong... again"

And it sickens me people don't appreciate him because he's Taeyong. His greatness is expected, and sometimes looked down upon. People don't hype him when he makes choreography, produces music, write lyrics or being the absolutely best leader there is but still remaining humble. Why? Cause he's fu*king Lee Taeyong. I agree with BoA. Those words are both a blessing and a curse.
People tend to forget what a great performer he is. They get mad when he gets attention, and throws around "ow, the other members deserve the spotlight as well". And a toxic part of me wants to scream out "THEN TELL YOUR FAVES TO STICK OUT!!" and while I know that it's mostly SM's fault that he's seen as a spotlight hogger. But I'm getting tired of a large amount of the fandom, not saying that he has no skill, but not acknowledging it, or simply disregard all his efforts and hard work because it's what's expected of him. Taeyong could go Solo and have a very successful career, but he decided that he wants to see his members succeed first.

Im a fan of taeyong but this video just made me literally cry. I cant believe someone can improve so much. His dancing skills are just AMAZING. This inspired me a lot. I used to dance as a hobby in the middle school but I wasn't really that good. I made a cover group with others kpop dancers I know and after 6 months I was kicked out lol (they told me I wasn't good enough for yt/ig videos or live performances). So I gave up on dance to focus on my studies and now I entered the university I wanna dance again but I'm truly bad at it. I was so sad, I cried and almost gave up but Taeyong, as a angel himself, gave me strength and courage to try again!!! Love you, Taeyong 💚

I had a major breakdown yesterday, because I lack the skills needed to work in the musical theatre (I've always wanted to become a musical actress) and there's almost no possibility to learn those in my city. And because of that I am so incredibly happy to see this video today. It really gave me the hope and motivation to just try and learn as much as I only can and try getting into a musical theatre university when I finish high school. One year ago, when I fist discover NCT by wattpad story, Taeyong immediately catches my attention, when I saw him performed 7th sense era, I already fall inlove with him until superhuman era not only by his unreal beauty but also in his rap and dancing. Now... after I watched this vedio. I don't know what is the other term for DEEP, because really. I fall hard and deep for taeyong. He is beyond standard as an Idol, and I don't have regrets stanning talents and SM artists. From SNSD, EXO, RED VELVET AND NCT. This is really inspiring story of him, becoming so so so so much talented after a few years of training. Well he is born hardworking and determined.
And he really is a good example of a person who does not easily discourage by words of disappointments, instead he helps himself and work hard to learn and learn and learn and discover his hidden talents.
