No, the Republican MAGA extremist delayed the military aid to Ukraine by not passing the saving necessary aid. This was done at the behest of MAGA leader, Trump. Politics of MAGA caused Russia to gain the initiative away from Ukrainian forces with 3 months of stalling, as Trump wanted the delay so that if elected he could claim as being the catalysts that ended the war. What a price that millions of Ukrainians have suffered over "Politics first and foremost."

The U.S government and every other country's government everyday is working to offset a possible war from other countries, this is why it is important to support Ukraine, they are fighting a war that the U.S will not have to fight if they win. This is why Europe is supporting Ukraine, because they know that Putin is power hungry and he will go after them next if Ukraine does not win.

Ukraine isn't pressing prisoners into service nor allowing violent rapists and murderers to serve. Russia allowed if not forced many of its convicts to serve in Storm Z meat brigades. Not only is there a difference in criteria there will be a difference in the manner they are utilized.

Russia's primary combat vehicle in this war is NOT the Tank but is the BMP-1 / MT-LB series of IFV's. Russia has between 15,000 to 20,000 BMP's and BMP based vehicles like the BMP-1, BMP-2, BMP-3, MT-LB, 9P149 Shturm-S, 2S1 Gvozdika and etc. They are seen in every battle in Ukraine and have the highest attrition rate of any Russian combat vehicle so far.
The are also the easiest to replace and manufacture with over 2,000 manufactured / refurbished / repaired every year or so.
Russians are attacking Ukrainian weapons depots and army barracks while Zelenskyy is attacking residential buildings with anti-aircraft missiles with long expired shelf life. Zelenskyy already hit Poland, Romania (a jet and a chopper were downed, 8 servicemen killed), Moldova, Belarus, numerous residential buildings and at least 4 children’s playgrounds inside Ukraine with these missiles. Western missiles which are sent there are also with either expired shelf life or very close to expiration date. It’s mindboggling how many buildings were hit and civilians killed (including two hapless Polish farmers) with this ongoing criminal lunacy of Zelenskyy regime . The chance of downing Russian missile is negligible in comparison with a risk of an accident with numerous civilian casualties. To give weapons to this war criminal Zelenskyy is like giving matches and gasoline to a serial compulsive arsonist.

Those are not " ethnic Russian provinces" but provinces with maybe some 27-30% ethnic Russian population who's moved there over generations. They never bothered to learn the language as they do not want to do in Latvia, either.
Their main complaint was that Ukraine wanted all schools and legal stuff to be run in Ukrainian but they said no, it must all be in Russian.
Ukraine said " no". "This is Ukraine so study and do legal things in the national language of the country in which you are a citizen".

There is a violent mobilization in Ukraine, people are being caught like animals in cities, tied up and four days later they have already died at the front, the cities are empty, the remaining men are hiding or trying to escape from Ukraine, but they are caught at the border. Every day, the corpses of men who could not swim across the river and escape from Ukraine are fished out of the Tisza River. Now many men go to Kharkov and hide in the city, they hope that Russia will capture Kharkov and then men in Russia are not in danger.

Actually, the fighting is nowhere near Kharkiv, which sits 50-65km away from the Russian border depending on which direction you measure from. The most critical aspect of the entire Russian offensive is the farther location, the small town of Vovchansk, a mere 2km from the Russian border, but which the Russians haven't even yet secured, and they MUST have Vovchansk because that is the ONLY route through which the Russians can supply this 'invasion'. And as the history of the Russian army in Ukraine has demonstrated, the Russians desperately need rail lines and rail hubs - the truth is, their offensive capacity is severely dependent on this, and diminishes accordingly the farther they are away from a rail hub. And from Vovchansk, the city of Kharkiv is a further 55km. As to the more northerly part where the Russians hit the border, there's quite literally nothing there - no good rail or road network, and bad terrain. While that part IS closer to Kharkiv, taking that area will in no way be helpful to the Russians, except to cover the flank of the Vovchansk operations.
Kharkiv is 26 kms from the border.

Most Americans don't think Ukraine has gone far enough to recruit new soldiers. These new laws just are not going to get the job done. There are not enough incentives for recruits. The age needs to be dropped to 20 years old. I believe if the Russian make a big push. They can break though the Ukraine lines this summer. They have lost the political will to win, and the military has lost the dedication to win. Ukraine needs to pull itself to gather and fight. Russia did not go to war to create buffer zones. Is the problem that Ukraine doesn't have enough excellent English speaking and trusted people to work between Ukrainians who are trying to take the weapons from U.S. military soldiers at the border and who can better translate between Ukrainians who have some English but still impediments with U.S. soldiers.
