It’s really incredible how it does that. It just stops everything and gives you feelings of the times when everything was happy and there was nothing overwhelming. When the song ends it’s almost heartbreaking because you never realized how amazing those times were when you were little and now you have to do everything yourself and parade around like you’re a competent adult when all you truly want in life is to sit down under the blankets with some Tyson’s chicken nuggets and watch hunter x hunter

Paulo Buzon it isnt the same, it is too damned bright, the cast just...sounds wrong, some voices sound like they are trying to sound the same (but fails) and others are just wildly different, for us that is used to the old voices it is just wrong, and hunter is a damned dark show, having it be all kinds of bright is just wrong, ad to that the redesigns of the characters and the fans that think the mangaka cant draw his characters like he wants them to be

The original hxh aired in my high school days. When I graduated college, I search for the full song and finally listened. I thought I downloaded the wrong song because this is not the song I remembered but still listened because it is so good, then the bridge part came up and until this day I remember that feeling of going back to the old good days when I'm with my friends watching this in our sleep overs. But I am rewatching the 2011 version and I am in Chimera ant arc which is not animated back in 1999 version.
I must say nothing beats this OPENING. although DEPARTURE is also good. But the nostalgic feels and all my childhood memories. Still OHAYOU is one of the best Anime OP!

Paulo Buzon it isnt the same, it is too damned bright, the cast just...sounds wrong, some voices sound like they are trying to sound the same (but fails) and others are just wildly different, for us that is used to the old voices it is just wrong, and hunter is a damned dark show, having it be all kinds of bright is just wrong, ad to that the redesigns of the characters and the fans that think the mangaka cant draw his characters like he wants them to be
bjam89 i reallt cant believe you think this...but hey opinions opinions. In my opinion, and a lot of others, madhouse has done more than anyone could have every hoped for a remaster of HxH. As a manga reader/99 HxH watcher, i am more than content with 2011, save the opening and a few OST tracks that i would have liked back.

The original hxh aired in my high school days. When I graduated college, I search for the full song and finally listened. I thought I downloaded the wrong song because this is not the song I remembered but still listened because it is so good, then the bridge part came up and until this day I remember that feeling of going back to the old good days when I'm with my friends watching this in our sleep overs.
