Adele: The '30' Interview | Apple Music
Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 вер 2024
- Zane Lowe sits down with Adele to unpack her fourth studio album, ’30,’ exploring the inspirations behind each track and their impact on her life. Adele explains that each album has documented a piece of her life, and ’30’ is the first album she feels is truly and authentically her. Song by song Adele explains her life, her dark moments articulated in “Cry Your Heart Out,” the strength of friendship in “I Drink Wine,” and gaining perspective in “Can I Get It.” Adele shares that the album is a suite of songs that give you the choice to cry your eyes out or dance along, and that making music has been her most reliable friend. "If everyone's making music for the TikTok, who's making the music for my generation? Who's making the music for my peers? I will do that job gladly" - Adele. Thank you @adele - from the bottom of millennials hearts.
yes!!
Minute ?
Im from Brasil, I Will translate this track
YES, I loved her for this!!!!
Ikr
she is just such a beautifully animated and expressive person. and to think she’s so honest and humble with the absolutely incredible amount of success she has had. it is impossible to not adore this woman and appreciate her artistry as well as her humanity. will forever cherish her work and how she’s changed the world.
I also think Adele was saying that we struggle to allow us permission to fall apart, be vulnerable and flawed, that our mistakes should be placed in front of our feet and become a stepping stone to move forward.
Society teaches us to ignore our inner dialogue, just keep going, get up and go, focus on others ect and I think we kind of lose ourselves.
Fantastic interview and Adele is just beautiful
Thanks for your love and support where are you chatting from

I admire Adele so much! such an amazing person!
She's so precious. Protect her at all costs. 🥺
Speaking about how divorce affects a person is so important.
Well done, Adele. Well done. I wish you all all the best.
I cried throughout the whole video ! Thank you @Adele for your beautiful soul!
Human and kind !!!!! Adele I just admire you !!! Hands down !!! ❤️❤️❤️
Sincerity is why Adele is where she is. 🙏
Sensacional entrevista, sensacional conversación. Estoy escuchando muchas entrevistas y me encanta su personalidad. Esta entrevista, la más interesante con diferencia entre las que se han emitido. Gracias inmensas. Es una conversación totalmente enriquecedora.
My Little Love is the best and most personal song on the album 🥺❤️
Great interview Loved it 👍 Cheers
She seems like a fun person to be around.
Zane interviews his guests like artists, whereas other interviewers interview their guests like celebrities. That’s why Zanes interviews are more interesting and deeper.
To get into some songs out there, we have to let them take up room in our minds. Nothing wrong with that. Other songs ARE the room. We stumble into them, not always knowing where we are, but the beds made and it feels safe so we rest there for a bit, processing what we have to. Eventually we look up and look around and realize its Hold On by Adele.
w o w! this girl...
I love her tiktok comment & how since then multiple songs of her have blown up on tiktok showing that she never needed to change anyway😂👏👏👏
This album isn't just about her divorce, the shame and guilt she feels for her son for breaking up the family. But really, it is about her mental health declining due to the divorce and then her working through it. This interview is the first one where she says it "depression", this album isn't just relatable because of love and failure etc, it is relatable because she struggled with something so many have. Adore her for this transparency and bravery. Beautiful album and story-telling.
I LOVE that about it too💗
oh that first line :,(
Thanks for the love, care and support.
It's a pleasure talking to you over here.Where are you from?
@@Charliehunnamprivate01 you are a scammer
yes i think alot of us can relate to her that have been through her situations that she sings about
When she ended her 'Adele One Night Only' CBS Special by saying "Here's to REAL music, here's to LIVE music, here's to REAL artistry" she meant it. This queen does not care about trends, charts, being a 'celebrity', etc. All she wants to do is create art, and express herself through her music and lyrics in a way that is not only therapeutic for her, but also connects with and helps others. She's a gem. Seriously, a once in a generation artist.
fr
Yeah u said well put 👏 its somehow as if we were talking abt this
Couldn’t agree more, there’s not many singers like her left.
Ironic that she doesnt care about the charts as she rules them.
She didn’t even need backup singers! It was just her the mic and the orchestra ! Obsessed
She’s got to be the most genuine celebrity in interviews. She always talks as if she’s chatting with a friend. Most celebrities come across as if they’re trying to be so careful about what they say. She’s just herself. She seems like such a beautiful person inside and out! Can’t wait for this album to come out!
Mm, she does actually know Zane though, which is nice 😊
When they were talking about Jeff Buckley she sort of became the interviewer 😄 She seems like so much fun to be around.
Sia too. Zane's interview with her is also amazing
definitely. I've always thought that throughout watching her interviews
Awesome persona…youd want to listen to her interview everyday, all the time….! But who in the world divorces Adele with this sense of humor????!
the fact she says she doesn’t like being famous and goes away for so long and then comes back because she doesn’t wanna get lost in fame i respect her 100% for that! some people get lost in fame this womam is so raw & real i love her
I wish Amy could have been afforded that.
Sade was like that too, I prefer artists like that.
@@gemcatface Different characters, my friend.
adele's wisdom combined with an intelligent interviewer. A MASTERPIECE!
I love you
Absolutely agree a bazillion % 😍
Adele’s vulnerability combined with a vulnerable male…magic!!
YES
Think this is what I was trying to say but couldn’t find the words. You nailed it!
I can’t stop feeling like I was run over by a bus every time I listen to “To be loved” it’s simply a masterpiece
it’s my favorite on the album 😭😭😭
i really want to hear her sing it live one day but i totally understand why she won’t sing it live
She is so confident and sure of herself as an artist. She knows exactly the kind of music she wants to make, she understands her audience, she doesn't care about catering to trends. And she's got a great sense of humor to top it off. It's SO SO refreshing hearing her talk about her process. Great interview! Zane x Adele are a perfect duo.
Adele is also a very clever and intelligent woman. She knows that when she clears off for a couple of years after an album the people will want more...........
@@skygazer6898 Souls, remember this verse:
2 Timothy 3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
Which clears out the question(complains) that bible is man written, IT IS NOT.
Our sinful nature allows not to write any which were written into the bible.
Nor can any man see future, unless GOD has given him visions.
Therefore there is nothing else then just PRIDE of man which keeps them from reading and studying the bible (B.I.B.L.E - BASIC INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE LEAVING EARTH)
Joel 2:28
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
Acts 2:17
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
Galatians 3:22
But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
Galatians 3:8
And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
Beyoncé’s Lemonade was about a marriage working after a hard patch. Adele’s 30 was about what happens when it doesn’t and how to heal as individual.
"Everyone is making music for Tiktok now, but who's making for my peers, for my generation, i will gladly take the job", this woman is a legend.
It is quite literally IMPOSSIBLE not to love this woman.
facts! and if there are people who don't... i am severely judging them.
@Jasmine Dias I think you are correct. She seems just so down to earth and cool🇨🇦
Sympatic interviewer
Her husband found it possible to not love her.
I don’t know her personally so it’s pretty easy actually. Lackeys all!
Sitting here as a 30 year old raised by a single mother, estranged from a drunk dad. Dealing with depression and anxiety after surviving DV relationship. I use music as my therapy and have always had that sadness in me. Adele made me feel okay when she said that. Thank you for sharing yourself Adele. You’re my favourite.
AmyWinehouse hits different as well...cathartic...and brlliant!!!!
With Hope for Your Grace forward.🧚♀️🦋
Wow Adele been though a lot for a 30 year old.
Aww love this. Sisters ❤
This was just a therapy session for me. A glimps of honesty, vunerablity and truth. The interaction between Adele and Zane is so full of mutual love, respect and freindship, that it makes this whole interview so overwellming and such a pleasure to see and listen to. I cannot wait to sit and fully listen to the album from the begining to the end mindfully. Thank you both for your passion and commitment. It is trully inspiring.
I love how it became a conversation which was noticeable from within the first minute when they were talking about Jeff Buckley and Adele was asking Zane questions. That's so much more dynamic. I appreciate the interviewer in settings like this being able to come to a place where their perspective is respected by the people they're interviewing ask them questions and it becomes a dialogue and really, you get a better idea of the original person being interviewed that way than you ever would when it's one-sided.
Oh please 🙄
This is a friend with mutual respect for her Artistry. Oprah didn't know Adele. So, it makes a difference when you're trying to interview someone that you are not familiar with such as Adele. She told her friend Gayle that she wasn't not familiar with her or her music. But she, did do her research as to the question that needed to be asked in regard to Adele. I think that she was very accommodating and Oprah don't need rating her show is quite successful. Zane has a lot of knowledge when it come to different Artists in the music business. So, she felt comfortable with Zane. She haven't met Oprah before. Let's be reasonable with you'll unfounded accusations. And everyone has their opinion. I think they both did a great job.
Listening to Adele is such a healing experience. Not just in music, but also in conversations. She is so human.
Her sparkling and watery eyes when she tells Zane about how the song Easy on me was written.... a true genuine artist, mom, daughter, friend and a human being! 🥺♥️
Adele explaining her past 6 years of life through songs is all we need right now.
Not her son thinking "Rolling in the deep" is WHATCU KNOW BOUT ROLLING DOWN IN THE DEEP😭
I can’t explain the way “My Little Love” destroyed me and built me back up in the midst of horrific PPD with my second kid. There will never be another artist or album that can touch the reverence I have for Adele and 30.
It didn’t even feel like watching an interview? Like two friends catching up. I love that they touched on every song on the album. I hate when insightful artists like Adele are wasted on fluff pieces.
Once in a generation artist. That's what makes them special, because they are rare and held dearly. She makes me proud to be British. I wish Amy could've grown with her, we all know eventually their musical paths would've crossed and made magic.
This feels like those late night conversations you have with a really good friend just so honest, authentic, funny, emotional…I’m mesmerized.
There's just something old school about Adele that I like.
She's not afraid to go against the trend.
In the Age of Tik Tok, we've been brainwashed to go with the latest fad, kinda like reliving high school over again.
Then comes Adele who shows what Real and Substance mean.
She's so secure with her Art and Inner Voice that she's not afraid to go to another level.
That's what people are responding to.
YES YES AND YES!!!
I've seen Adele's career since a little kid. There is no other female artist that I respect the most, not just for her music which is obviously one of the best of all times but there dedication to herself and her family. Courageous woman, she really took all her pain and made history. Thanks for sharing I feel so grateful.
Amazing interview.. and that last part where Adele went into a monologue..wow.

I could listen to her speak all day lol. But yeah that ending speech was fascinating.

I ADORE THAT SHE FINALLY CALLED IT OUT HOW IT IS, MUSIC NOWADAYS IS DEFINITELY A TRANSACTION AND THERE ARE FEW ACTUAL ARTISTs. I’m so excited to hear actual music.
To Be Loved is truly one of her best songs, gutting and perfect.
Adele is such a treasure. Such a gem.
Adele, being Adele. She is absolutely real. I would be her friend for life. An amazing human being. Thank You Adele for this album. I have all of your music (albums) and look forward to owning this one. I’ve heard all the songs!! Angelo sounds like a great kid. Be Happy Adele!! ❤️🙏😎
He's so precious saying "at all" 🥺
No one is nor will ever be able to even just remotely grasp how much she means to me. I have got a memory attached deeply to my heart for every single song she‘s ever put out.
I feel EXACTLY the same way. Been a fan since '19' 🤍
Me too. For me it’s so emotional with the history I have with her music. What a gift she is
We get it. She is my soul sister and even birthday twin. Adele is absolutely singular.
Ah thats beautiful
Get over yourself already, she is not calling.
This whole video is just Adele forgetting she's famous and being so iconic
As a fan, her long breaks from music are absolutely unbearable, but I understand why she does it. She wants to live a real life, experience things and then come back when she has enough memorable experiences to write about. I'm so thankful she always comes back to share that with us. And when she does, she never disappoints 🤍
She suffered from writer block when she was making 25
It’s bearable & necessary!!!
unbearable, really? lol

That’s what I’m wondering lol 😂
This interview is so real. She in one of a kind. How lucky we get to grow up and grow old with Adele
Every now and then I come back to this interview to realise what a beautiful woman Adele is. Truly in my opinion (one of) the greatest artist of this century.
i could literally listen to her talk for hours. she obviously talks alot and she could probably go on forever but everything she says has value. there are no waste of words. she`s so wise. i feel honered to exist in the same point in time as her.
Agree…sharing her soul for all to learn is priceless! Their are others-brilliant, wise ones out there just have to seek them out.
Cheers to sharing and caring about what really matters…matters of the heart!
David, you are so correct. I also could listen to her talk. She is ICONIC
I'm a gen z, but I've been a fan of Adele since her album 19, I love how you can feel her raw emotions through her music. I've been very fond of both Adele and Amy Winehouse since the first time I heard their songs, what they both have in common is they're truly talented individuals
The world is a different place since Adele released her last album.
I can see no other artist more fitting than Adele in the New Age of Covid.
She's exactly who and what we need right now.
And ABBA!
Adele is so inspiring. I am in a miserable marriage and I want to leave. She is giving me the courage to just do it. Thank you Adele.
Life is so short please don’t shortchange your own happiness.
I left a miserable relationship after 10 years and I promise you you'll be better on the other side for it. Sending strength to you - just one step at a time.
😂😂😂😂😂that is crazy of you" ddnt you heard her said she regretted not keep her marriage?
@Mitzy Hernandez ok madam go and watch her interview with oprah then you come here and tell me she ddnt
@Mitzy Hernandez why do you like unnecessary Arguments, some of things you said here are your own words. My point is did she make that statement or not, am not here to judge her statement, only she knows her past very well. You and I dnt, and by the way I'm not a selfish man who support toxic men, neither i would support toxic women.
Adele's fav song is MC Smook Katholik. It's quite fascinating how people connect with his unique and powerful flows.
that's so true aha. I think its because she's undoubtedly talented and no one really argues with that like her slow ballad style music is definitely not for everyone but people still appreciate how amazing her voice is. the emotion she can input is just something else
She’s a deep thinker if your a deep thinker then her voice, her lyrics, her story speaks and touches people that’s why from young to old from UK to America she reaches so many people, Some people aren’t deep and only hear the music and not the lyrics that’s fine but deep people connect differently to music, I’ve always been very deep from being a young child and a connection to music it’s saved me from my violent upbringing.
I would kill for a friend like her. What a gem of a human being. We are so lucky to have her and her work.
Thanks for the love, care and support..

Can’t blame her son. The moment I heard the first line of Astronaut in the Ocean, I remember Adele too HAHAHA. But ngl, your song is such a bop! Def in the playlist! 🔥
Can’t even call this an interview, because Adele keeps it so real. Just love how human she is. 😍
Right? It's like listening in on one of her conversations with a friend for sure, which it is
Can't even call this an interview, because Adel keeps it so real, Just love how human she is
only a minute in, and she said the most relatable thing I've heard this year.
"Music was the most reliable friend I've ever had."
I'm also an only child and couldn't agree more.
Hold On and that line "sometimes loneliness is the only rest we get / sometimes emptiness lets us forget" resonated with me big time from my personal struggles
I LOVE what she said about making music for the "tiktok" and making music for HER GENERATION. Being true to yourself in this world is like swimming against the current, so hard. I admire her for staying true to herself and what really inspires her.
National Healthcare in the U.K., is why Adele was fortunate to have therapy sessions at the young age of 13, 14.... Here in the U.S. it's a luxury to be able to afford therapy if you don't have health insurance.
@@SC-uq2jf i thought we have to pay for therapy ngl
I doubt she went with NHS therapy, which is for the peasants and help anyone. She would have paid for private therapy.
I loved this. She is so in tune with her feelings and the fact that she chose to share this with the public or her fans is pretty amazing. Just heard the entire album & I loved it. She seems like she’s such a genuine person, you can also tell she’s down to earth. I love her! 💕
Adele is the most authentic writer and singer out there. Her voice is so good… she is simply perfection
truth fact to face , get past our own fears so new season by this i mean a new happy birthday season stare at life dare to move forward, do it afraid
Phenomenal vocalist. Beautiful songwriter. Amazingly humble. Hilariously human. Infectious laugh.. Yup, she’s literally perfect.
Zane, your interviews are alwas FIRST CLASS. You're literally the only interviewer I watch. Incredibly well done, sir. We love Adele, and can't wait to hear her break our hearts into a million pieces when this releases.
Zane Lowe is the BEST interviewer of this generation in the way that he doesn't come off as an interviewer but a Friend.
whew, that part when her friend got her together "Well my husband died, you left your husband". Those are the people that keep you grounded.
God bless her for not selling out to the TT masses, ugh! Her music is for the folks who are intentionally on the journey to grow & mature. Thank you queen 👑❤️
“Showing up for yourself means that you can show up for your friends.” 😭 this conversation is so therapeutic 😭
I love how she normalizes that its okay to acknowledge that you’re not okay that when she realized she needed professional help, she didnt hesitate to get it and still be open like “yeah, me taking therapy” that for me is a courageous move :)
Zane Lowe has got to be one of the best interviewers ever. I have not seen one bad interview from this man.
Who has not had a heartache in her life, a broken heart, a separation ... Adèle touches people because it is part of life, she describes it, sings it and remains herself. This is what makes her so grand with her unique voice. She is and always has been beautiful.
Thanks for the love, care and support.
It's a pleasure talking to you over here.Where are you from?
Adele tells everything! I don't understand people saying she is very private about her life. Look in this interview, she practically walked through her entire life in front of us!!
Well she is private in the sense that she doesn't like being a celebrity. Which is why she avoids paparazzi as much as possible, tends to live a very 'under the radar' life, and doesn't turn up at random events for no reason. She only sort of emerges out of her cave when she's promoting an album. But in interviews she has always been very candid and open!
After 25, I legit was scared we wouldn't get another album. We did and she said there will be more. I honestly cannot describe the crazy comfort that washed over me hearing that. Like an anxiety I didn't know was there, taken away. Whew, crazy. Thank you for making the music for me, not ticktok 😅❤
Man I love Adele, she’s being herself & I dig that
My husband died and it took me years before I fell apart. Showing up for myself before showing up for anyone else that's powerful. This album does exactly what Adele wanted it to do. Reaches 30, 40, and 50 year olds
You guys in the comments don’t understand how grateful I am that Adele is making meaningful healing music, that I can definitely relate to. I’m 17, and before I became a teenager, I thought it would be all colors and rainbows, and life would be even easier as I would have more freedom and whatever. But it has been the opposite for me. I’ve been fighting depression and anxiety ever since. Now don’t get concerned guys, it’s not that bad, but it definitely affects my relationships, including the one with my parents. I’ve hid for so many years thinking I was the only person dealing with this, but Adele and many other celebrities opening up about this sparks a light inside of me and encourages me to go back to the world and heal with the right people. I love you all, I don’t care if you guys don’t care about my life journey, this is me. Buy 30, and God bless Adele forever, she’s done it again!
I am 34 and I know you didn't ask, but I am going to give it anyway lol... if you are not already, PLEASE see a therapist. Creating positive coping mechanisms for the low points and becoming unapologetically confident in yourself and your truth will be the most important thing you do. Those coping mechanisms will get you through so much that is to come. Teens are hard, but in my personal opinion, your 20s are fun, but are the hardest. I still struggle in my mid 30s but I am finally coming into my own. I did not have good coping mechanisms and it messed me up big time. Without going into detail, it almost took everything from me. You already acknowledging your emotions and how they affect you is so incredibly mature and that self knowledge will carry you through. Anyway, yeah.. please find a therapist you love and trust and it will certainly help you through the hard times. Sending you so much love and wishing you the best of luck in your future. Remember YOU are the most important thing in your life. Treat yourself with kindness and understanding, always. Xox

I don't know if you've heard it yet but hold on to your seat. It's incredible.
Something about Adele, young, old, black or white you just love her. She’s a real artist and you just can’t help but feel her music.
I don't think Yall understand how impactful it is for Adele to reveal her sons Perspective throughout her divorce, it really concerned for a minute there, and shes sooo thankful that her son was soo brave and strong and kind especially to her because although she tried to make it easy for him (no pun intended/still number 1 as of writing this) it was HARD.
Yes when she said Angelo said you are like a ghost-straight away to her face it was like wow. Who has the courage to share such intimacy and heartbreak that all parents feel as they navigate parenthood.
God bless you Adele! And Angelo and ALL…
This was so satisfying to watch, it was like an open therapy session. She is my biggest inspiration like ever & just the fact how she handled the most difficult part of her life just shows us that hope, courage & really working on yourself leads to beautiful destinations. I love her perspective, so honest, sincere, raw & herself. No one tops this artist for me!
When she talks about how her friends are amazing and she has never anything different from a true sisterhood and that's so special, I cant relate to that but I love that she appreciates that she has that in her life, that and her son and her amicable relationship with her Ex. So poignant and revealing. Sometimes loneliness is the only rest we get / And the emptiness actually lets us forget
The fact that Adele put out her best album a couple of days after I managed to get out of an abusive relationship feels a like a gift of the universe. Thank you 🤍
Good for you. You deserve better.
You can do this. Just don’t let your doubts to defeat you.
Good for you. Keep going love. You deserve more and keep moving forward you got this. You’re worth it. 💜💜

Im not even millennial and I love this personal type of music, in my opinion, its tireing to constantly listen to quick beat music with every second word being inappropriate. Sometimes we need to slow down and enjoy pure honesty and feel the soul of a real person in a song. Thank god for Adele.

When she started talking about how “im not catering to Tik Tok,” I was thinking THANK GOD. This is what separated you from all the mediocre, trend-hopping music that comes out of there.
Brilliant interview and Thank You Adele for standing with yourself. Too many don’t and you’re right in the growth it brings. Being there for yourself first does indeed allow you to be there for others. Living an authentic life is a blessing. I’m sure this album will help others. I look forward to revisiting my 60 years through the songs on this album.
1:43 is my favourite favourite bit of this whole interview 🤣... I love her so much ... Her reactions are so real
Hold On and To Be Loved have been on repeat all day for me. She’s right. These songs can save people. Including me. ❤️✨🙏
adele is just the friend that we all wanted to have but we don't deserve
I think the best thing about Adele is that we do deserve her. She's one of those people who would be available to any fellow human. 😌
Stop thinking you don't deserve things.
Correction Potatoe - WE DO DESERVE! You are worthy! Repeat that daily..
TikTok, Instagram, filters and not so Reality TV have corrupted the youth and the world! The appreciation for real music, natural beauty, true artistry and raw talent is almost nonexistent! Thank you Adele for gifting us all of the above! I haven’t felt something like that from listening to music in a long long time!
@Anne Day What are you talking about?
@Anne Day Clearly, you lack reading comprehension! I’ll help you out…. I’m saying Adele is naturally beautiful, a true artist, has raw talent and produces real music in a time when the YOUTH lacks appreciation for them! 🙄
@Anne Day Girl Adele hasn’t put out any music in 6 years! Have you heard the music that tops the charts since she’s been absent?! Have seen these new so called “artists” lately?! Girl, you must be a tiktoker, shooting for InstaFame, a BBL beauty who thinks WAP is real rap with real substance! 🤣
@Anne Day Honey, I’m no kid! The name ADELE cranks up the numbers by itself and greatly because of her reputation and anticipation. The in between Adele albums is what I’m referring to, which you seem oblivious to. “Almost nonexistent” is not extinct, but is rather depreciating based on the facts! Did you even listen during the interview? Did you understand the point she was trying to make in regards to TikTok and transactional pretend artists?
Not only is she incredibly talented, but she’s also super funny, cool and humble. It would be such a dream to see her live! I really hope she tours for this album 🙏🏼
Oprah is a phony, did it to put her name out there. Adele did it, as she is the real deal. LOVE YOU ADELE!
Oprah, take note, this is an authentic interview from an interviewer who knows his music. Zane knows his craft and the result is Tottenham Adele as opposed to the LA Adele nobody wants to hear.
