Saint Hermione is the daughter of the Deacon and Evangelist Philip and one of the very first Holy Unmercenary Healers. Because of her example and her love for Christ, the Early Christians invented the first full-scale hospitals and other institutions to care for the sick, the poor, the widows, and orphans.

16:02 117 AD Emperor Hadrian brings St Hermione to him. He questioned her about her age and family, she was ordered to be tarred and put into a couldren. She glowed. Behold, The Lord God Lives. Emperor Hadrian further punishes her.
18:09 Angel of The Lord saves St Hermione, she wished to sacrifice to the Gods.
19:53 Her Righteous Anger shake the Pagan Statues. Hadrian is enraged 😡
21:08 The Executioners became paralyzed, were healed, wept, and bowed to her.
22:20 Hospitals were built

We need to remember that the 1st healing centers were out of charity and hospitality not a money making apparatus for pharmaceutical companies and insurance companies to penaltized anyone that was not insured how far we have fallen from any kind of health or care

I feel so lucky to find this channel. When I went to church as a child, I have always wondered about the Saints.
Why were they Saints? What was their story?
I was especially interested in the female Saints, only because they were few of them.

A small side note, it was Apostle Andrew who established Church in Georgia in first century (thats why we are autocephalous Church today) but after Saint Nino it became our country's official religion when pagan King and Queen got baptized thanks to Saint Nino (both King Mirian and Queen Nana are canonized saints too)

I’m so glad to have found this great and educational video. The saint was depicted in a lively way both visually and beautiful story-telling voice. I especially appreciated the part where she calmed walked to her death but it wasn’t her time and for the glory of God that her execution was replaced with the brilliance of God who is above all creation and can alter reality for those he loves. Her persecutor was met with agony and pain because of his own folly and unbelief. This story goes to show how just and merciful God is to his saint and to those who chose death and other gods, their fates are sealed. This video encouraged me to live a saintly life by asking God always for his grace and guidance and for the Flame of his Holy Spirit. I chose St. Hermione as my patron Saint, as her feast day is on my birthday. I’m not a nurse or a doctor, but I’m drawn to her for her courage and helping the poor.
