Interesting note: one of the drivers who failed to qualify for the race would go on to win both nationwide and sprint cup series events at Bristol in the future. That driver is bad Brad Keselowski.
I wasn't a fan of his back then, but compared to the Punch/Reid duo ESPN had the next few years, and looking at some of these old races, Bill Weber doesn't seem so bad by contrast. Part of me wonders, though- would we still have seen the swap in 2005 had Bestwick not gotten that hockey injury?
Marty Reid's pretty terrible granted. I place him 3rd behind Punch the Bill Weber, the man who sounded like he was trying to sell TVs or double glazing and walked into a commentary box by mistake.
Incredible to think that Jack Roush thought Todd Kluever was Winston Cup material.
Ah, the race where Matt Kenseth makes the outside pass on Harvick late in the race. One of my favorite moments on the old Bristol surface.
Useless info: This was my first Nationwide (Busch) Series Race.
the champ with the DNQ

I did not know Joe Gibbs once had a #19 Busch car.
Yep, that's the number that Edwards will be using in Cup next year.
Still does in 2022.
Man for the 21 to be so fast its sucks to lose a race solely because of pit strategy
The 17 was better on the long run

Ahhh, Bill Weber, we meet again. The WORST NASCAR commentator I've ever heard, on a par with Jerry Punch for blithering stupidity in a commentary box.
