I remember her in Hobart in the mid-90s when I moved there from NSW. I used to 'visit' her to feel a little closer to Sydney! I can't believe that's how she is today.
With Baragoola gone and no one too interested in South Steyne, North Head is our last hope. I remember riding on Baragoola until her withdrawal, just missing her actual Last Run, then riding on North Head and defying my mother who wouldn't allow me outside on the top deck! @Mike_Woods, can you give us an update on her progress? Cairns is a long way to go to see "an old friend."
So sad to see the grand old lady rotting away like that. Her heartbeat has stopped and here she lays. The accompanying music doesn't do this video any justice at all 👎
So she really was Down in Vic ? I didn't know that until I saw a video here just yesterday and I thought it was the South Steyne. She must have come down with crew only because I'm sure only the South Steyne was rated for be outside with passengers. When was she down there ?
Best ferry I loved standing on the bow.
I had many trips on the north head i thought it was scrapped looks in pretty bad shape.

Just curious... did you return or are you still in Tasmania ? Everyone I knew who moved to Tas returned !
@@chasermalloy7406 Unfortunately not. I still visit and it has a special place in my heart.
