this figure looks so incredibly amazing. the only complaint however is that the rear view needs and should've had a transforming rear panel to cover up the exposed hands to complete the all around image.

Fun fact how are you going to transform it if the paint chips off because of the transformation. how are you going to avoid it?
will grind the part until there is a gap between each other by using sand paper. then only start painting. 🙂

Watching videos like these really make me want to customize some of my own figures. I had thought of turning CW!Alpha Bravo/Vortex into a pre-Beast Wars Waspinator, for instance, but I have none of the equipment to do it (like the airbush, air compressor, fan, paints, etc). Also, how can you tell which parts of a figure can be painted on and which ones are unpaintable (mostly joints, I think)?
I always repaint whole figure. Just repaint the part that you feel ugly 😅. You can start try to acrylic paints by using brush like AK, Vallejo. 🙂
The "unpaintable plastic" is nylon, and yes mostly used for joints. It's only referred to as unpaintable because the Hasbro factory paints don't adhere to it very well, but hobby paints work on it perfectly fine. As long as you're just using basic hobby paints and nothing alcohol based, any part of any Transformer figure can be painted without issue

@@ginjuice_art Yes , it will scratches off. Better add clear coat to protect it.
Hi! This is a great piece of work and it inspired me to work on my own Optimus prime! One thing I was wondering is that if there are any other alternatives for the panel lining or another way to do the red panel lining, it doesn’t have to be florescent. Thank you :)

Wow amazing!!! and the paint does not peel with the transformation? How do you prevent that from happening?
This figure don't have this kind of problem. It happened on bumblebee and battletrap. Normally I will sand down or grind the part by using sandpaper make sure there have a gap between them so that paint will not peel when transform 🙂
awesome job! but i'm curious, is that cardboard you use to fill the gap bet the arms, legs, and the back of the truck mode? kinda wanna replicate that.

The one I used are not for kid. the paint for kid must have label "Safe, Non-Toxic, washable paint for Kids". I'm not sure the fluorescent paint safe for kid or not but I will not recommend kid paint it on face. 😅

Thank you 🙂 I use metal red first and then only apply clear red. Both are from "skull color" from Thailand. You can also try other brand 🙂

What thinner and thin ratio do you use for your paints? Im starting to learn airbrushing 🙂
@@fortune5475 the paint i used are Raditz Studio and Skull Color. Both were from Thailand and the paint already mixed with thinner before i buy it. If orther brand, i think there will mention the thin ratio behind the paint. 🙂
