The Warlords look incredible man, you should be proud. Can't help wondering what a silverburst would look like with more of a teardrop shape to the finish. Awesome, I reckon!
Starrs go to is Earthquaker Devices Speaker Cranker - OD( discontinued ), he uses their Bit Commander -Octaver, Arrows V2 - Boost and Basic Audio Spooky Tooth -Fuzz in every show. Just seen them last month, amazing show. It was my teenage sons first concert and he was blown away by the power, King Buffalo were great too. We were hoping for Curse in the Trees in the set but you can't get everything you want, they opened with some Mt.Abraxas face melting righteousness. Too hard to pick a favourite but we learned Melody Lane, Withered Hand of Evil, Crystal Spiders and Deaths Door so far so we can jam together. Crystal Spiders is awesome live, it is played in C# and sounds heavier. Shockwave City and Curse in the Trees are others one we'd play but he couldn't find any tabs. Awesome video and gear brother, cheers.
Thanks so much for the lesson! “Death’s Door,” is actually the first song I ever heard form Uncle acid. I was instantly a fan. “Bloodlust,” is a great record through and through! “I’ll Cut You Down,” is a standard jam for me. Love your tones as always and that axe is SICK! Great video, Jason! Cheers, my man!
Thanks for this man. Everything by Mr Starrs and his crew are a favourite! It's not many bands the get invited to tour with black sabbath. I'm a total guitar numpty, but your lesson is patient and clear, so many thanks for making an old fuzzer very happy!
Oh my good God!! Thank you so much for doing this. I've been looking for their stuff everywhere with no joy despite me being a Brit living in Britain. Id be mega impressed if you did 'Ill cut you down' next! Best wishes from Scotland
You are a very good teacher, patient, methodical and with good advice for learning the rhythm. I would love to see other lesson from you, any doom or stoner band would be great. Thanks a lot for this excellent lesson.
May the Fuzz Gods smile upon you. that might be MY fav. song. One day, I will own a Fuzzlord 45! I'll be watching for more lessons. I build my own pedals, but not into "production". Sorta like Fran Lab pedals. Built with love. One at a time. May the Fuzz be with us all!
1:13 - I believe Kevin Starrs used a Basic Audio Spooky Tooth fuzz on this album. I know he was a big fan of this pedal around this time. I remember him posting one for sale on social media years ago and I still kick myself for not buying it haha. Love this band.
I think he's using a suped up tweed deluxe. There is a premier guitar article about his gear. It's the Neil young version of the tweed deluxe that uses 6L6s instead of 6V6s.
All kinds of yes! Uncle Acid is one of my favorite bands. My favorite song of theirs is a toss up between Waiting for Blood and Mind Crawler. That Woodrite is a beast of an ax man! Take care!
Cool, Fuzzlord lessons! If Steve's doing pedals you may as well do lessons! My favourite is definitely Over and Over, seen them supporting Sabbath in Belfast a few years ago, they were excellent.
Jason, thank you! There are a lot of good teachers on here but you are the most thorough and detailed at a slow pace than anyone I've seen. I just started playing guitar this year and I've got this song down well because of you! Cheers brother!👌🤟
I have a soft spot for "Mind Crawler". But "Poison Apple", "Murder Nights", Mt. Abraxas, and "Dead Eyes of London" are also great tunes. They do killer covers too, such as: "Wicked Annabella" (The Kinks), "Remember Tomorrow" (Iron Maiden), and "Get On Home" (Charles Manson/Manson Family). It's too hard to chose 😵
Kevin from Uncle Acid is a big fan of the EQD Sound Shank. Which is basically a Tonebender/Buzzaround clone. Just sayin', a Fuzzlord spin on a Buzzaround would be awesome.
Starss uses a Speaker Cranker on his pedalboard by Earthquaker Devices, it is all analog. I wanted to grab one but it is discontinued. Surprisingly he uses Fender Tweeds. Melody Lane, Deaths Door, 13 Candles are my top 3.
Tom from NC. I've been a HUGE Uncle acid fan since about 2012 when I discovered them. Nice tone and great job btw! 👌🏻 Have you dabbled with Bloodrunner?
Very nice lesson! I play some parts a bit differently though. I rely more on the 5th and 4th strings to allow the 6th to ring longer, and I also do the harmonised part using 3rd chords (with a looper pedal or with another guitar player, it sounds killer).
I agree with the tweed sound comments. At the very least something way more sputtering and broken sounding rather than just straight distorted. Still a great tone here. Thanks for this, you should totally do bloodlust start to finish, it's the album that got me into doom in general. Maybe patron? I'll cut you down is my favorite, such a strong opening.
"Over and Over Again" was my gateway to Uncle Acid. Thanks for the lessons, I know exactly what to do this weekend. BTW, is there a distributor for your effects in Germany/Europe? Import taxes are quite a lot these days.
Dude fuck yeah, learning this asap! You should do the whole bloodlust record, not enough deadbeat love on guitar channels.
Cheers Jerad!!! I think Over and Over Again might be next
Solid choice my man, cheers!
Awesome lesson, Jason! Killer tone as always. Love seeing that Warlord in action!
The Warlords look incredible man, you should be proud. Can't help wondering what a silverburst would look like with more of a teardrop shape to the finish. Awesome, I reckon!
@@digger6663 thanks dude. Yeah, teardrop would be rad. Woodbine did a teardrop gold burst and it looked killer.
Thanks man! Really having fun playing the Warlod and really like the silver burst! Nailed it

Favorite Uncle acid song is probably “I’ll cut you down” I saw them 2 years ago live man they were great too

13 candles is by far my favorite, but the whole blood lust album is 10/10

Just all around amazing band
Best song
Uncle Acid is definitely a huge inspiration to our music. Killer lesson.
hell yeah!
Over and Over Again is another killer track!
such a good one!
Those are all classics!

@@FuzzlordEffects Glad to hear it!
Great lesson man! Thanks for taken the time to show us how this is played.
This and 13 candles are my standouts. Thank you for the killer lesson
Such a great tune, and you NAILED it.
Thank you!
Desert Ceremony is my favorite. The solo on that track is out of this world.
hell yeah!
Thanks for this man. Everything by Mr Starrs and his crew are a favourite! It's not many bands the get invited to tour with black sabbath.
I'm a total guitar numpty, but your lesson is patient and clear, so many thanks for making an old fuzzer very happy!
I am so happy to hear it was easy to follow!
Hard to pick a fav but I’ll Cut You Down will do. Would love to see a video on dialing in their tone. 🤘
This would be my favorite! Just an epic song!
Thanks again Jason!

Do what your love tells you or wind up toys are definitely my favourite songs by them
Hell yeah, wtf? This is dope, Thank you! Death Door is def number one Uncle Acid song.

Fantastic lesson and one of the coolest guitars ever.
🙏
Oh my good God!! Thank you so much for doing this. I've been looking for their stuff everywhere with no joy despite me being a Brit living in Britain. Id be mega impressed if you did 'Ill cut you down' next! Best wishes from Scotland
Downtown is my fav. Love all their shit
Mind Crawler is my favorite, and Mind Control is my favorite album, but I love all their records.
Great album!
It was my first uncle acid album so maybe it just holds a special place, but for me yeah, it's Def my fav.
YESSSSSSSSS!!!
Ive been messing around with this one for a bit. Thanks for this!
glad you are having fun with it Rob!
You are a very good teacher, patient, methodical and with good advice for learning the rhythm. I would love to see other lesson from you, any doom or stoner band would be great. Thanks a lot for this excellent lesson.
Thank you so much Sam! Recently I did some Windhand, and a Sleep lesson you might like!
Cheers Doom Bringer Thanks for watching!
Thanks man for the awesome lesson! Keep rocking in he free world \m/
Hi, I will be soon very soon do a doom setup for my guitar , will learn this and make it justice. 😊 thank you. Watching from London.
Great tone!🤘🤘🤘
Thank you Johanas!
1:13 - I believe Kevin Starrs used a Basic Audio Spooky Tooth fuzz on this album. I know he was a big fan of this pedal around this time. I remember him posting one for sale on social media years ago and I still kick myself for not buying it haha. Love this band.
thank you very much sir, you made me very huppy with his helpful video! uncle acid is one of my favorite bands \m/
awesome, cheers from chile!
cheers Nico!
Thank you good sir.
I could be totally wrong but I believe Kevin’s tone/ sound is a cranked tweed champ or princeton.
I think he's using a suped up tweed deluxe. There is a premier guitar article about his gear. It's the Neil young version of the tweed deluxe that uses 6L6s instead of 6V6s.
@Justin entz eh not really. JTM45 is closer to a tweed bassman. Different phase inverter design and much stuff power amp. There's not much like a 5E3.
fav song , thanks man!
thanks for watching!
Great lesson, great tone, sweet guitar! Thanks Jason! Watching in Corpus Cristi, Texas
All kinds of yes! Uncle Acid is one of my favorite bands. My favorite song of theirs is a toss up between Waiting for Blood and Mind Crawler. That Woodrite is a beast of an ax man! Take care!
Such a cool guitar thanks man!
That guitar is bad to the bone!
Thanks for the lesson,
Really enjoyed it Jason!
It was great!
thank you so much Troy!
Ritual Knife is the best! Thanks Jason!
great song!
Awesome dude
I think its a tweed bassman
Melody Lane is my fav
Great demo Jason
Keep them rolling
💪🏼🔥🤘🏼
Thanks for watching and I'll make another soon!
That's a beautiful guitar and a very easy to follow lesson. Thanks a lot!
Thanks for watching Gary!
Loving these lessons. Mt. Abraxas next?
Cool, Fuzzlord lessons! If Steve's doing pedals you may as well do lessons!
My favourite is definitely Over and Over, seen them supporting Sabbath in Belfast a few years ago, they were excellent.
Jason, Steve and Jered are the unholy trinity of doom
@@ElHijoDelMysticalShadowDancer damn right, we're lucky to have them putting out the excellent content that they do.
Awesome I’ve been waiting to learn some uncle acid.
As for my favorite Uncle acid song, it’s gotta be 13 candles.
Great song!
Cool lesson Jason!!! My favorite song on that record is I’ll Cut You Down. I really dig Uncle Acid a lot!!! Great job!!!🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
That is such a great song and thanks for watching Chris!
Thx for the lesson! I love the drone master 's sound and i think i'll buy it 🤘🧙♂️
thanks for watching!
Thank you! This was great! Was hoping somebody had done"Valley of The Dolls" by now lol ...but this works!!
Jason, thank you! There are a lot of good teachers on here but you are the most thorough and detailed at a slow pace than anyone I've seen. I just started playing guitar this year and I've got this song down well because of you! Cheers brother!👌🤟
Pretty sure this is the perfectest riff there is, really.
Great work Jason, that was awesome man 😀🤘🎵🔥🔥🔥
Thank you so much Adam!

hard to choose for sure!
Love the song!
Love the lesson!
Love the tattoos!
thanks for watching!
Mt.Abraxas is my favorite! But it’s damn hard to pick 🤘🏻
Melody Lane, Runaway Girls, and the most haunting is Devil’s Work (Acoustic)
Cheers Rob those are great songs!
Kevin from Uncle Acid is a big fan of the EQD Sound Shank. Which is basically a Tonebender/Buzzaround clone.
Just sayin', a Fuzzlord spin on a Buzzaround would be awesome.
I'll keep that in mind!
Starss uses a Speaker Cranker on his pedalboard by Earthquaker Devices, it is all analog. I wanted to grab one but it is discontinued. Surprisingly he uses Fender Tweeds. Melody Lane, Deaths Door, 13 Candles are my top 3.
I'll have to try and find one thanks!
Can't only choose one, melody lane, murder nights, dead eyes of london and lots lots more
All great songs!
Tom from NC. I've been a HUGE Uncle acid fan since about 2012 when I discovered them. Nice tone and great job btw! 👌🏻 Have you dabbled with Bloodrunner?
Very nice lesson! I play some parts a bit differently though. I rely more on the 5th and 4th strings to allow the 6th to ring longer, and I also do the harmonised part using 3rd chords (with a looper pedal or with another guitar player, it sounds killer).
nice! Would be awesome if you posted the harmony!
@@FuzzlordEffects I am a busy guy, but it is now in my 'to-do' list, so stay tuned! :)
I'll try a different amp next time and yeah will be working on more Bloodlust so be sure to subscribe!
Wish they would come to Detroit, been a fan since they were a new band.
The Sword turned me on to them....man that was along time ago.
"Over and Over Again" was my gateway to Uncle Acid. Thanks for the lessons, I know exactly what to do this weekend. BTW, is there a distributor for your effects in Germany/Europe? Import taxes are quite a lot these days.
Hey Michael! That is such a good song too. No EU dealers right now but we do ship worldwide from fuzzlordeffects.com cheers!
I'll cut you down is a classic.
hell yeah!
Listen to ancient days!! Killer lesson too!
Nicely done! Can you do a video for Valley of the Dolls?
Thanks a lot. Please, do a lesson for Shockwave City, from Uncle Acid too.
Killer tone! Do your cab packs work with axefx 3?
if it can load standard IR files then yes! I use them in two notes
Slow Death, from Slaughter on First Avenue. Second is their cover of Down By The River by Neil Young.
I think Kevin uses a Tweed Deluxe and an EQD Speaker Cranker? Not sure if it's on this particular track.
thanks for the info!
Devil's Work off of Mind Control...
great song!
This!! x100000000
Valley of the Dolls is also a fairly easy song to learn
cheers!
auto subscribe for UA&TDB lesson, please consider doing Devil's work! Great video!
You should do a tutorial on Witch- Seer
I think Steve from @doesitdoom just did that one with tabs and everything!
I came from the record store and brought Uncle Acids Blood Lust with me and the first thing I see is this video.. 😅
that is so awesome!
Runaway girls best song
Great song!
Withered hand of evil!
I did it becayse of you"!
13 Candles!
great song!
Devil's Work!
Cheers!
I guess Kevin uses Tweed like fender tone and a Earthquaker Speaker Cranker for Solos
I'll have to try one out!
Melody Lane and Deaths Door
Downtown off of the night creeper
yeeeee!
Favorite song is Slow Death but I can't ever find any good music to learn to play it
What strings did u use?
Ddadario EJ21
Gonna have to go Melody Lane
I'll look into it!
Withered hand of evil or mt abraxas
13 candles
DO RITUAL KNIFE
Melody Lane, please do a tutorial of that !?
My. Abraxas is the shit
I have a feeling they are really just using hella cranked amps
They have a cool rig rundown if you're interested
I'll go watch the rig rundown!
Tuning ?
C# standard, I think it’s in beginning of video 🤘
Know of anybody who does a bass guitar lesson for this song asking for my son
I don’t but I think beholden to the riff does zoom lessons!
fuckin eh dude!
🙏
E sounds like C
I gope I didn't make a mistake on the tuning!
@@FuzzlordEffects it sounds great . Nevermind, I don't know what I'm saying.
