@@josielau1218 The interview went well for about 30 minutes... until the interviewer handed me some kind of personality test with 80 questions in Japanese. I could barely read the first few questions but it was hopeless after that. Even when the interviewer started reading the questions to me, there were so many words that made no sense to me. He gave up and said, "Don't call us, we'll call you." When I later described my experience to some Japanese friends, they said they were surprised such a questionnaire was being used for such a low level job at a grocery store. Nothing in the job ad suggested such a test was required. In typical Japanese jargon, the job ad said the job was "suitable for a housewife or someone reentering the job market after an absence." The actual job was putting seafood into plastic containers.

Thank you for the video as it gives me some idea to prepare myself however, I’m worried as it has been many years since I used Japanese and my highest level is N4… the job ad did state that those without Japanese proficiency will be considered if they are keen to learn and which I am. But the HR then told me they need a N3 level proficiency. I really want the job and hopefully be able to make use of my Japanese learning at work. What are my chances if say I create my own interview question banks and simple answers that they might consider me for my proficiency?
