Its a shame the online experience has gone down hill. I have heard of the exploits which leave your PC vulnerable to hacks and that the playerspopulation counter is fundamentally not working correctly.
Man if only you could imagine how dumb did I look while watching this video, squealing like a baby who just saw a lollipop. This game was my jam back in early 2010s, I used to play it online with my friends SOOO MUCH... Ah, we just entered the University, those freshmen years feel like they were just yesterday. We were so young, so full of energy, and the future was so bright & exciting... Those were the days man. I might not play COD4 that much, and despite growing up playing arena shooters exclusively (Quake, Unreal Tournament), still MW2 was my definition of The online FPS to just boot up, and have fun, period.
The standard version of MW2 has issues where hackers can launch lobbies that essentially lock you in the game. For instance I couldn't alt+tab or use task manager to get out, I had to actually turn off my whole computer. Aside from that I still enjoy the normal version because it isn't pure tryhards like IW4X can be.
The number of players online when this came out was insane.
