- Fatal Fury Special é um jogo produzido pela SNK. É o primeiro título não-canônico da série e foi o mais vendido da antiga SNK. Foi lançado em 1993. O jogo é uma versão turbinada de Fatal Fury 2, trazendo de volta três personagens de Fatal Fury: King of Fighters e contando com a participação de Ryo Sakazaki, da série Art of Fighting, totalizando 16 personagens.
Caso você termine o jogo sem perder nenhum round poderá lutar contra Ryo Sakazaki.
Ryo usa os golpes de Art of Fighting e não pode ser selecionado.
Eventualmente você pode ver Kim Kaphwan passar pela tela em alguns cenários executando seu Desperation Move.
É possível derrubar os figurantes que passam de moto pelo cenário de Kim com um ataque de mudança de plano no tempo certo.
No cenário de Kim é possível ver seus filhos Dong-Hwan e Jae-Hoon (que aparecem já adultos em Garou: Mark of the Wolves) assistindo a luta, ao lado da esposa de Kim, Myeng-Swuk.
No final do jogo, durante os créditos é possível ver cenas de humor entre os personagens.
O sucesso de criar o game sem cronologia com a história principal e adicionar um personagem secreto de outro jogo (Ryo Sakazaki do jogo Art of Fighting) inspirou anos depois a SNK criar a série The King of Fighters. - Ігри
I love this game, it's my favourite part of the series. I'm still playing it sometimes (AES/MVS and the great SNES port as well), it reminds me on the great times in the 90s arcades... Nostalgic!

I sold my classic video games and I can only enjoy using emulators. But I love this game and I have many fond memories of this classic.
@@Jan61083 no, it's emulated now (SNES classic mini and PC). But back in the 90 I played on real hardware, practiced on my SNES at home for the arcade visits (WHO can can afford an AES😆)! Nice memories 🤗

@@Jan61083 yea, great times. The 90 were the most interesting time in video gaming, at least for me (born in '82). And those games are still my favourites!

The SNES port is awesome, excellent use of the console's abilities were made. I was baffled how accurate it is (unlike FF2). It's the best port Takara/Monolith ever did, they nailed gameplay & feeling, just some few details are missing.

crossover think Snk Neo Geo fighting games are set in the same fictional universe... King of Fighters series
Ryu Sakazaki was the first crossover character in a fighting game. He appeared as a main character in AoF and here in FFS, as an secret character (you can play him by using a cheat), even with the AoF moveset. That was a really cool feature back then!
