You guys are so adorable! Thanks for contributing to this video project. I'm a gay guy, 67 years old. Met my partner in 1973 would you believe. We got married in CA in 2008 before Prop 8 became law. So we are 2 yrs. married; 37 yrs. together! It DOES get better! Great video, and wonderful Jordan that you can make such a positive impression on your students.
Hey guys, been watching a few of these videos, congrats to Dan for starting this great project. What a terrific (and timely) idea! One of the things that is coming through to me as a straight viewer, almost as strong as the "It Gets Better" idea (and especially watching you two, as well as the other couple videos) is the idea that "Love is love". People being in love, no matter who they are, is a wonderful thing. Love is love.
Thanks for your encouraging video! The bond between you is palpable. The It Gets Better videos always appear to me to be especially effective when done by couples. I'm especially glad you can be a high school teacher! You hit it just right saying students need to know the variety within the gay community. Not everyone is an actor or musician. We are teachers, journalists, engineers, business owners, mechanics and on and on. Gay students can be anything they've the desire to become.
Thanks for sharing your experiences! You all in this project help others to come out on this! Me and my boyfriend are looking forward to do something like this as well. We´re from Chile, southamerica and we´re please of these things to be done. Congrats guys!

I'd like to have had a teacher as you to talk about being different but equal at the same time at school, because it was not easy to deal with all that suckers.
speaking of gay teachers- hope you have seen tom hanks when he talks about his gay teacher when he won oscar best actor - it one of the most emotional speeches I've ever heard- its on youtube- it will leave you in tears, but only because its was such a beautiful moment
Thank you for mentioning that it really is important to use your education as a stepping stone to a better world! Too many gays get stuck in the "poor me" period! This might be the best time to focus on your future so you are able to build your world! This from an old fellow that learned the hard way! Also, more talk needs to be about what and how do you know you are gay! These feelings are very strong and not well explained anywhere!
I'm glad it got better for you two and I'm sure it will for many gay youth, but it may not for some. Should we be guaranteeing a future for them that may not occur? It really hasn't for me though I've been openly gay for decades. My only boyfriend died and friends have moved away to gay meccas. My life was much better at 20 than at 50.

I listened to your video. You (Jordan) are gay and a high school teacher. How does this work? Our small community pushes people out that might be or are gay. How did your school system deal with this?
It's great that you are a teacher and can be a role model every day for those kids showing them -- it does get better.
