Been skating these shoes a month now myself, definitely agree the breaking in period with them was an odd experience and there isn’t much impact resistance Like you say control/feel and flick are all great and they’re very comfy generally speaking Plus got a few compliments from non skaters who all liked the general aesthetics of them :) Love the videos !!!
I been skating them for 2 months and I got the pink ones and honestly they are good for street skating and freestyle skating and great for transition but I also use them for my boxing shoes it feels nice and look like boxing shoes but I'll rate it a perfect shoe might buy another pair just for boxing
Cool ! I was waiting for this review. I would like saw wear test how this shoes looks after flip session and rail tricks. Anyway ! thaks for this review. If yellow you can use baking soda or tooth paste :D but I know.. nobody want wash shoes etc
I didn´t get it... does he does not like the corporation aspect of nike, or the shoes itself? (serious question) I have one nike SB shoes and they are my favorite..
@@filipefarias3076 it's many things, it goes back a long way. It's typical for guys our age to not agree with Nike being involved with skateboarding. I have to admit they make a good looking shoe though.
Interesting shoe for sure! Lizzie seems to wear pads most of the time, so it totally makes sense for this shoe to prioritize boardfeel over impact protection. I’m curious about how these hold up to a lot of kneeslides. Personally, I’ve been skating a pair of Adidas busenitz vulc 2’s for the past 7 months, mostly on vert. The suede and outsole/thread is somehow fully intact still. Stitching and laces are finally starting to rip, and the rubber around the toe is mostly gone. I’m more than happy to skate another pair in the future, but I’m looking for some shoes with a bit less rubber round the toes. I’d love to try these, but they’re pretty much only available in women’s sizes here in norway.
Omg! I just realized you got into kneeslides right at the end of the video. Woops! I wrote the above comment when 90% through the video. Please forgive my lack of patience.
@@caseycameron5370 I recently got a pair of lakai cambridges, and I’m really happy with them. I’ll probably stick with lakai’s for a while. I might try the griffins next. It seems like a great shoe for transition.
I haven't skated a traditional skate shoe as I'm not turning tricks, flipping the board yet. That being said, after watching the review on this I went show shopping. Tried several different Vans shoes, Old Skool, slip ons etc. Very uncomfortable all of them. No arch support at all. I get a break-in period. Can you suggest a show with a decent arch support? thanks
If you read into them they’re uni-sex she made them no or everyone for her know she was the first female to make a shoe and is currently the i toy one till this day and they won’t look much girly getting ripped up and dirty
I wanted to goto NY just so I could back tail over that little tunnel, thank you for letting me live vicariously through you

great review! good to hear how well the sole held up! I'm on the same boat as you about the bottoms wearing out before the tops!
oh and the knee slides! if I see these at the vans outlet i'm def picking up a pair!
That was a really good review.
Vans should make a waffle cup version of the half cabs

The Crockett high is my go to for a high top vans now. I do like these but they seem more for transition. Love the Nike comment btw!

Why won't you skate a Nike shoe?
I would enjoy seeing you review some PF Flyers

Lakai Griffin's are a really good skate shoe

I will say, they feel different.

What helmet are you wearing during the transition kneeslide section? Love it
Old Independent Trucks Protec Collab
I can't skate a toe cap, does this have a cap feel?
I luv my pair.
Are you still in NY? How long you here for?
Not anymore, quick trip!
@@ZackDowdy hope you enjoyed:)
The shoes comfy for casuals? Not a skater.
100%
Don't really rate the looks tbh. They look like a basic sk8 low with an extended ankle upper.
