That sequence is positively weird. It's like some strange dream from a parallel 1930s universe.

Indeed! Maybe it would make more sense with the original sound but I doubt it...

@@IKP1000 Dreams are as weird as heck anyway. I dreamt last night that I was in a meteor shower which peppered the area I live in. There were, however, three consecutive slightly different versions of the same dream. In the final one, I was actually struck by small fragments of the falling meteors. Most odd. I believe there are only two reliable accounts of human beings struck by meteors. One resulted in injury.

@@marklammas2465 I'm sure that all means something important but I wouldn't dare speculate! ;-)

@@IKP1000 Well, I'm certainly not going to put good money on the likelihood of a piece of stone or metal bashing my bonce. A bit difficult to enjoy the winnings anyway if a meteor puts a hole between my ears! I do have a small meteorite, but it didn't announce its arrival by rattling off my rump!

Lovely colourizing! Not sure I'd say creepy but definitely a WTF short. The creepiest IMO short I've seen from around this time period is Ladislaw Starewicz's The Mascot, aka The Devil's Ball

Thanks Kate! Now I need to look that one up; I never heard of it...

Somewhat confronting in todays context, and maybe their eyes that are a tad creepy…I think these rare examples are important in how we track societal change and customs. In affect valuable learning tools. The music track was well chosen although one can’t help imagining the original music and it’s effect on this strange story as it unfolds. Iain we are fortunate that you make this effort to show these gems on UA-cam, Thanks!

Sorry for the late reply James, and thank you for your comment. Yes, it's important, though not easy, to try and see these kind of things in the context of the times they were made. I believe the original soundtrack had music and dialogue, so it's a real shame it's lost.

@@IKP1000 I appreciate your feedback on my comments Iain, so much of what you bring to to your channel provides nostalgia and is thought provoking in part, always look forward to your next gem!

Wonderfully weird! Thanks so much Iain! Might I suggest a fun tune from your gramophone to accompany such a thing whenever next... 😀

Great suggestion! Why didn't I think of that? Now, where are my needles? Oh yes, there they are....

Some people I knew back in Michigan would call that a Hamburger Dream, hard to make sense of. Plus so many politically incorrect images. But back in the day these things were laughable.

Yes, I even wondered whether to post it or not.... The original audio may have helped make sense of it, or perhaps it would make it worse ;-)
