I’m so glad to see even power lifters need stability work. I’m fairly new and feeling so strong in the gym but realizing that it’s not functional strength and I’m switching gears a bit to help that
Hope he’s doing well but this just shows how unidimensional strength often is. Most people would never guess this big guy would struggle like that to do a side plank
It's really not, it's a matter of the wrong muscles taking over to support what he is doing and going through life thinking that's fine but when you try and side plank with the muscles that are supposed to support your lifts you immediately start shaking or cramping up. @@romansokolov4589
It’s amazing how such a strong ginormous guy struggled with the side plank. Goes to show it doesn’t matter how strong we are. We have intrinsic muscles that need strengthened for proper stability
I have this issue that I only feel abs while doing the side plank on my right side but not the glutes. This is however not a strength issue of the glutes but rather some overactive muscles that keep the glutes from engaging. Hip flexors are tight for some reason for me and from the ribs down to the hips around to the lower back everything is tight. Stretching this area like a mad men relieves the issue and side planks are as strong on the right side as on the left. Dunno what causes this but I relaize at times that I habitually have the hip flexors engaged resulting in the hip turned in and raised a little. So something triggers me to do this for some reason.
I have a question - Its my first time adding skull crusher on my workout and started light, but my arms particulalry my right arm starts to tremble like crazy. alao really appreciate your vids, really helped me a lot on many things
Would yoke carrys be good for distance runners? Seems a big yes but never seen anyone use or mention it. In the past after doing a week or 2 of zercher marches made running up hill super easy.
I have a glute imbalance and I figured out by watching this video it's from a weak hip. How many reps should I do on the weak side? Any advice would be great 😊
Biggest injury is caused by roids. Why dont you talk about alla the damage made by his seroid use? His body is not made for those big muscle built with roids joints are not made for unnatty muscles....
bro is bringing a whole squat rack home
Hes the guy the brought it in when they bought it if you ever wondered who carried it in
You've highlighted this exercise so many times. I'm definitely going to start doing it.

Its unbelievable to me that a strongman of his stature cant do a side lank 😮
Love all your videos. I do this on the regular now to help with my hip
I also struggle with side plank leg raises so I’ll try clamshells on my next glute day!
ass day at the gym
Haven't added this to my routine yet. Thanks for the reminder.
I love this guy’s videos
Are you cueing your patients for hips forward here, or are you just having them pop up while maintaining the same level of hip flexion?
Great thanks 🎉
Sir I love your videos!
What kind of band is used for these? I don’t have one of those.
You can use any band that gives you resistance
I would have liked to see him side plank on the same side as the first 1 he did
Leg Day
...it's a real thing. 💯
Exactly what I needed, I'm stronger on left side but can't side plank at all on right side

Sometimes you just throw yourself at shit, what it takes beforehand is a personal struggle
Amazing

Just do normal clamshells on both sides
I'm trying to get better a push ups what type of plank not a regular one will help sir is it this one with a band like the one in this video
Where do you buy your bands?
Have a video on this ?
How many reps and sets for a beginner?
What band is that so I can get one. I’m tired of my rubber bands rolling up
Just look for "fabric booty band"
what band is that?
that side plank clam shells kill my lower back pain right away

He has other videos with this exercise in which he will tell you. Just look for any that deal with knee pain

These strong men are not strong , stabilize your inner core and tendons and ligaments then see the difference
How many sets and reps recommended? Every day? Every other day?
I'd say two times a day, three sets with 10 reps
