Episode 5 came out like... almost 2 month after the first five nights at freddy's, but considering production time this episode was finished 6 months prior to the release of the game
In case you guys are still wondering, the shows are, in fact, by basically the same people. Matt Braly (Amphibia's creator) was an episode director, while Dana Terrace (The Owl House's creator) was a storyboard artist, with both being good friends (And more in Dana's case) with Alex Hirsch (Gravity Falls' creator). It's why the shows have a similar sort of feel to them, and why they're considered basically triplets. Both shows have references to Gravity Falls, Amphibia more than TOH, so keep your eyes open for them!
Fun Fact: Apparently Giffany was originally supposed to get a happy ending in the credits scene, showing that she survived her disc being destroyed and started dating Rumble McSkirmish, but then someone suggested "Stan and Goldie go to Vegas" and the team found it too funny not to do instead.
Careful even searching for gravity falls merch. The books by Alex Hirsch are meant to accompany the show after the series finale. Even an image search can give things away for this show.
Fun fact: when. Mabel taked soos to the mall...in the upper left corner you can see the two secret agents from episode 1 of season 2 walking off screen...impling they have been watching the pines family since then...this show has many cool background details that shows alex thought this whole story out, my favorite being that if you go back to episode 2 of season 1 (the hobblewoker episode) you can actualy see the time travel in the back ground collecting the item dipper and mabel left in the time travelers pig...really neat
The time traveling guy appears in the very first episode too, in the background when Dipper throws a shovel at the big gnome made out of gnomes Edit: oh yeah, he’s in episode 3 too
8:22 reminds me of the time my best friend and I were walking home and he had one of those (trying to get out of the way but end up dancing) moments. The lady looked him dead in the eyes and asked "you ever feel like wherever you go, you're always in the way?" I'm certain she was trying to make a joke and didn't realize but it was so savage 😂
Episode 6: the Hand Witch's robe, with the hand prints on them, is from a movie called Manos, the hands of fate. Revered as one of the worst movies of all time ever. The stop motion animation episode is an homage to the late, great Ray Harry Hausen. The godfather of clay/stop motion. Did a lot of classic movies, including a movie that gave inspiration to Godzilla.
It's become something of a tradition for animators to give nods of respect to Ray Harryhausen in their work. Monsters Inc did it (the name of the fancy restaurant they visit is "Harryhausen's"), Corpse Bride did it (the grand piano is a "Harryhausen"), and here we have a straight-up goofy homage, complete with classic sword-wielding skeletons straight out of Jason and the Argonauts. I did *not* catch the reference to Manos, however - and me an MST3k fan, too!
Ruff's totally right, dude. You'll find loads of weird options with the colors on amazon products. Bill Cipher being amongst the beanie colors is not only fitting, but it makes sense.
One thing I never realized until watching this again, as an Oregonian. The creator of the show confirmed that Gravity Falls is based on the town Boring. Boring is 16 miles from Portland. Melody must really have distance issues if 16 miles is too much for her to withstand...
I love your guy's reactions, but you need to be very careful when looking at Gravity Falls material online. You guys didn't notice it, but in those few seconds you were looking at that online merch store I saw some major spoilers in the products being sold. So please be careful and try not to ruin some of the epic plot twists coming in this show :D
Fyi, the key words, like "bearo" and "noncanon" in these two episodes, are the words used to decipher the codes. They have an image of a key beside them.
15:50 I think you mean Bearo (Bear-ro)? It's the name of Mabel's teddy bear It appears in the Gravity Fall shorts Dipper Guide to the unexplained. I guess you guys haven't checked that (it's the mini adventures happen after ss1 and before ss2 I think as there's no Ford in there) There's also a Mabel guide to everything shorts and fix it with Soos mini episodes
Yeah another reviewer of GF also decided to skip the shorts mr was super confused whenever “Bear-o” was mentioned. I tried to warn them beforehand that the shorts are canon and have hints for season 2 ᖍ(ツ)ᖌ
I love the way they amaze at the too old references because Alex himself said that he and the crew never considered if kids would get the jokes and it was just whether he found it funny or not
Interesting detail about "Abaconings:" Stan invents a story where two once inseparable friends grow apart as one of them is much more intelligent and inventive than the other and begins to focus on advancing science and their own career over their friendship... Sound familiar? Even more heartbreaking that he gave THIS story a happy ending where the smart one realizes he's abandoning his loved ones and calls it quits...
12:54 - 13:06 Oh she very much indeed underestimate these “children” 😳 when these “children” had went through a lot and finding mysterious creatures and literally encountering with Bill, Gideon, the candy monster, the pterodactyl, the gnomes, the zombies, switching bodies, ghosts, those freakin alive life sizes wax figures, the shape shifte… must I need to go on 😃
Amphibia is incredibly good! Can be a little slow to start but even the fillers have their purposes. Point is it really picks up and is amazing! I also recommend Centaurworld (personally I think it's a little better than Amphibia, and more suited to your guy's type of shows, but Amphibia does have a larger fan base so you'll probably have better luck with views and likes if you go with that show)
@@keremmazman3761 I could have sworn this episode came out several months after FNAF, would need to check. If not it's a huge and bizarre coincidense X3>
