I'm not too worried about last night's loss. Lyons played great, and the Oil were goalied. The chances were there but the pucks weren't going in. Besides, I read that there's an illness going through the locker room, which explains why the players seemed a bit lethargic.
Saad would have been a nice to have more than need to have. Not sure what is up with the constant line changes but the team is still in a good position. Thanks for the update.
I'd love to have the league change the schedule. I want to have more division games. Rivalry with Calgary, Vegas and LA. Hatred versus Vancouver. Do like the NFL does. If I don't see the Islanders or Carolina, it's fine with me. Much rather have those fierce, ultra-competitive games against teams in our division.
Isn’t this how woody lost his job just always screwing with lines friggin knob smarten up !! Jeff skinner should be with Connor or Leon victor needs to be on 4th line cause he makes to much for doing nothing ! Play Noah more he is good big and strong, punish Bouchard or make him watch from the stands cause holy hell he keeps screwing up
So happy we didn’t get saad. I’m all for signing big players but I’m disliking the oilers sign all these old ppl. Love saad too but really he has no spot on our roster this szn. Probably next year but you expect more with a 9.5 mill increase.
Can’t go wrong having RNH at center, he’s ineffective on wing, his last two center outings had him getting points. I’d rather see Bouchard traded for a good shutdown defender at the deadline and have them sign Rantanen over the summer.
Watch out for Vancouver. They have a good team to begin with. They'll be better now that they can put the dispute, or whatever it was, behind them. Don't feel bad about Saad not coming to the Oilers. There's that poisonous St. Louis connection again. If we signed Saad it would almost seem as if we indirectly traded Holloway and Broberg for Saad. Maybe we can eventually do the same thing to the Blues that they did to us. Do they have any RFA's? I like the salary cap. Even things out among the teams. No one team can put a juggernaut on the ice just by spending money. Not the case in baseball. The Dodgers are the obvious example. I think they pay a fine for going over their 'cap' but what does it matter if they can do that? Who wants to see the same team win every year, unless you're a fan of that team. Except the Oilers of course. That brings us to Montreal. If memory serves me correctly, the Canadiens always had first choice of the best French-Canadian players. Guy Lafleur would be a good example of that. That's part of the way they built their dynasty. Now they have to use the draft like everyone else. Equality among the teams.
These lines being changed all the time is kinda confusing, need some consistency at some point and not just loading up line either. 🤷♂️
Awesome update

Every team gets the same benefits, and they have to bid on other players. After a couple of years, we're in exactly the same place. No cap room.
Hoping Pod-Henrique-Brown stays. That could be a good line. J. Skinner should take Arvie's place, with RNH and Hyman.
Oh well I really thought Saad would be a great addition. Thanks for your update Patrick 👍 GO OILERS 🏒

This k its Edmontons turn to do a block buster trade ro keep up with the boys in death valley aka Vancouver and Calgary
we have enough slow wingers already. we need a legit 3c. both henri and janmark r not doing good consistently.
There's going to be a lot of overpaid players.
Stupid lineup changes
