The part about the creek makes total sense. At my family's lake cabin, one year the water was particularly low (2019 I believe), so we needed to dig out a channel for the little boat to get out, and it took like 8 hours to dig 6 inches down for like 5 feet. There is absolutely no way he would have done his plan with a jet ski
The creek mentioned here actually runs through the woods behind my parents' backyard...Woods Creek is a TINY, pathetic little thing. It's barely even a creek, more like a ditch, in some parts. You have no idea how hard I laughed imagining someone trying to jetski on it lmao
I worked in a bank in the early to mid 00s and I know it's changed but back then I always thought if people knew how easy it was to rob a bank it would happen way more often. I'm 4' 7" with one working arm. At the time my manager was a 65 yr old woman who likely weighed 90lbs. We would get $55,000 into these cartridges and take them to the ATM by ourselves to fill. 3 carts each. Someone could have so easily grabbed them especially since the bank and ATM were in a busy grocery store.
@@stevenschnepp576 oh I meant the not getting caught part, too. First to be clear I do not condone bank robbery and I hope everyone gets caught if they do something like that. But I live in a small city and have heard of a multitude of robberies, with pictures of the robber's faces from cctv and none of them have been caught. There are places where getting caught is much more likely, of course, but that's part of committing a "good" crime - doing it in the right area.
@@LilAnnThrax It's because these days the potential take and the likelihood of getting away with it are both much lower than they used to be. That homeless man’s story is not weird. Sometimes people are just paranoid like that.
@@ChakkyCharizard Have you been alive since this happened? I wonder how deep it was back when he robbed it
I almost stopped the video the moment I heard the word "associate" at 4:29, but I kept going because the storytelling is so good.
THIS GUY JUST GOT CHARGED IN A MULTI MILLION DOLLAR POKEMON CARD SCANDAL
I worked in a bank in the early to mid 00s and I know it's changed but back then I always thought if people knew how easy it was to rob a bank it would happen way more often.
I'm 4' 7" with one working arm. At the time my manager was a 65 yr old woman who likely weighed 90lbs. We would get $55,000 into these cartridges and take them to the ATM by ourselves to fill. 3 carts each. Someone could have so easily grabbed them especially since the bank and ATM were in a busy grocery store.
It's not that we don't think it would be hard to do. It's just that we don't want to get caught.
Rob a bank in 1905 and you would probably get away clean with enough money to make a life. Rob a bank in 2025 and you'd better spend those couple thousand dollars fast before the feds get you.
Real money is in white-collar crime and drugs.
Please more of this! I think in Antwerpen they stole hundreds of millions in Rubys and Diamonds. They eventually caught most of them but the goodies are still missing
7:05 , you took the words out of my mouth 🤣🤣🤣
“Your medals in the post” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's kinda funny that I went from "I hope he doesn't get caught!" like I'm watching a story character from GTA V, to "Oh wait he actually reformed himself" when he totally turned his life around, and I then realized that that's actually the thing I should've been rooting for.
its friday evening, my vacation is starting and qxir dropped a new video. this is gonna be a good night
Hats off to his wife who had the heart to forgive him. Some guys have all the luck
One of the most wholesome stories you’ve covered...
Now time to watch another installment of _”Last Moments”_
I live in Monroe, same town this took place. I don't remember it specifically but I remember details around it. I actually float down the same river he does almost every year with friends. This event certainly put our town on the map
Strange thing is, I grew up there and don't remember this happening at all. Granted, I was about 7 at the time...
I just realized that despite the light-hearted tone of your videos most of them end up with the protagonist dying or even worse. Glad this man managed to become his younger better self again, I just wanted to point out that it felt strange hearing a happy ending in one of your videos😂😂
Honestly man I look forward to your video's I'd love to see you get a mini series on rte Irish TV needs someone like you Qxir 🇮🇪🍀👍
Love from kildare Town..
a one in a million example of prison actually reforming someone instead of driving them insane or making them even more angry at the establishment
That’s why I help homeless people I see. They won’t narc on me.
Me: *sees Anthony Curcio rafting down the river*
“That’s got to be the best pirate I’ve ever seen”
The cops: so it would seem
I can hear the music
Literally LOL :-D
Why is the rum gone?

It's amazing how one single homeless man inadvertently caused a man to become a much better person, who would go on to try and prevent others from going down his path. Genuinely heartwarming
Were it the "Homeless informant" story was true, which it obviously is not
He only became a “better person” because his money ran out and he could make money from book sales and talks
A lot of cynic assholes in the comments. Who woulda guessed?
@@notmenotme614 "What? Someone saw how their life was being runied and managed to turn it around to improve not only their own life, but the life of their family? No. Impossible, he only did it for money. Because it's impossible for people to change and we all stay the same throughout our lives."
She may forgive him,
she will never forget...
Her: take out the trash
Him: after the game
Her: remember that on....
Him: alright! I'm going!
I never knew about this story. I live about 40 minutes away from Monroe Washington. Great content as always! Keep it up
That’s awesome!!! The way he turned his life around is awesome.
Damn that is a good story. Its sad he lost 6 years of his life but, it seems to be worth it for him.
it's like he lost 6yrs but gained another 60 by beating his addiction
I just realised that his books are also supported by "Ink From the Pen", which apparently is an organisation supporting artworks from prisoners. It's pretty brilliant and apt name.
Qxir became my favorite youtube channel in like 3 days
Same
It's honestly class 👍🍀🇮🇪
👍💯to your user name and avatar😂gave me a giggle fr.....
The idea of getting all those folks from Craigslist to show up together really was a stroke of genius. If all he had left was 17 racks, that means he got to spend most of the loot, too. He should have paid off that homeless guy from the start.
The more of these I see the more I am enjoying them. Good work fella!
The observation about the hobo and the bank was spot on... "What the actual fuck has the bank ever done for him?" 🤣
*Drug Addict:* robs a bank
*Homeless Man:* "I'm about to start this guy's whole children's book author career."
Modern day bank robbing is so useless since most of the exchanges happen online you’ll be lucky to get 1k dollars out of a robbery
Yeah now you gotta know how to hack things instead of robbing a bank irl
the amount of cheer dedication and creativity from that jock is mind blowing, some people are born differently
Glad it all worked out in a positive way.
And good thing the homeless man did a really good act.
0:28 "gifted a bottle of wine from a bush" man I wanna move to Ireland 😂
Damn what a standup dude. It takes a strong person to come back from something like that. He must’ve had the right stuff from the beginning.
I know way too many people that didn’t survive opiate addiction. Honestly wish I hadn’t either. All of my family gone. Yep… Every single one of them.
It’s some crazy shit, And although that’s a wild story… His actions would be totally rational (and considered genius 😂 )in an opiate state of mind.
Surely they can't arrest all of us if we show up
For the homeless person, I suspect it was partially out of boredom.
"he sure is Timmy , he sure his " 😂😂😂😂
Surprisingly wholesome end, and considering how most prisonal systems are well... Less than ideal, it's nice to hear about somebody that was actually able to reform.
That homeless man’s story is not weird. Sometimes people are just paranoid like that. Whenever I see a kid gently pushed into a car, as opposed to just opening the doors and stepping in on their own like how their parents would let them do, I always write down the plate. Nothing’s come up, but it was nobody’s loss anyway.
My front lawn is littered with land mines in case anybody tries to come up and spy on me
I replaced my underground sprinklers with flamethrowers because I'm just waitin for the day... @@cam5816
@@cam5816Dude. you killed so many of my inquisitors with those landmines
I’ve been harassed by so many people trying to be the hero in someone else’s story. Mind your own business.
No, you’re just weird too. Mind your own business, you’re just wasting the time of random parents.
