You are Japanese and German combined reincarnated Paul (compliment). This is the best explanation of lean that i have ever seen. Toyota does it well but this tops even that!

Waste elimination seems eternal, makes no sense if you ignore How your Value Flow (VSM), You should focus on Speed (80/20 Rule) !! Make the material Flow...

Great comment love it! Lean hits the 80:20 by reveling the highest amount of waste (bad actors).

try his principles if your an ISO9001 facility....no can do, have to go through written procedure changes...so it is a good thought - LEAN - but it is usually not that simple....what about an employee making a change on the spot that results in a safety issue???Doesn't talk about that...just a thought.

this is evidence that ISO is a racket, not that being lean is difficult.

It was so easy for me as a production manager to bypass ISO TS16949, ISO 14001 its actually funny. But lean cannot be bypassed it shows on the bottom line. Lean improves quality which is automatically safer. But we take your point serious I dont mean to criticize sir! Good question and comment.

This guy seems so incincere. I am sure he is harsh with his workers when nobody is watching.

Have some curiosity about the world, and do a little research before making a snap judgement. Paul Akers has positively influenced hundreds of thousands of people and made a real dent in the universe. Respect for his people is a large component of his thinking. I encourage you to read his books. Start with 2 Second Lean.

Paul is the most sincere person I know. I can assure you he does not have unhappy workers.
