Loved your joy at being in a trouser :) Once I'm dressed for work I immediately put an apron on until I leave the house, just in case I spill my breakfast or makeup on myself.
I absolutely love hearing about your study journey, it's similar in some ways to mine, and different in other ways. It's so validating to me to hear you speak of the sacrifices and how hard it is - you know, that feeling of, "It's not just me!!" I'm in New Zealand, halfway through a 3-year Bachelor of Applied Counselling degree, doing distance learning, and also occasionally (twice a semester) having to travel for a week-long in-person intensive. We have other requirements though, we have to meet in triads (online) at least once a week for practice and have online group supervision, etc, so there is contact with others in my cohort. I started my practicum placement at an amazing agency in July, and they actually offered me employment so while I get my practicum hours I am working there two days a week and getting paid for it - an amazing boon I never expected!! I LOVE client work, it's the uni stuff (and my particular toxic institution) that I find so stressful. Anyway, sending solidarity from the other end of the world - we've got this! We can do hard things! It will be worth it in the end!! xx
For my coffee I get the macadamia nut milk from moo is moot from Costco. It doesn’t really froth in my nespresso warmer but it mixes well in my coffee and tea & if I want a something a bit sweet I’ll mix in some of the flavoured silk creamer (hazelnut when the seasonal ones are done) into the milk when it’s warming.
What a wonderful vlog to start off my Sunday morning! I love hearing how you manage your day, commitments, time, family, energy, interests etc. I would love to know how you plan or determine to have a positive, productive day. At the start of this new year I'm feeling a bit all over the place, and must work on sticking to a routine. Routine feels hard at the moment! Thank you so much for sharing that you cried during one of your lectures because it felt so confusing. Reminds us that mastering new ideas doesn't always come easy. Strength for the day and the week and the year ahead to you and all the lovely Marethoners xxxx
I’m glad the mug is still holding strong 👍 I too love short nail and can barely function with my “long nails” 3 weeks later and before my next one. They are always surprised when I tell them shorter. Maybe they feel worried that they aren’t giving good value unless you have long nails? Your grown up outfit looked amazing! Comfortable yet professional 👏
I make homemade coconut whip monthly for my husband and I for in our black coffee... it is heaven. Doesn't taste like coconut... just makes it super super GOOD !! Dairy free too.
I keep my nails short too! I can't do long nails anymore. Oh, I use Nutpods Creamer and maple syrup in my coffee these days. Their cinnamon swirl oat milk creamer is my current fave but the original is good too.
Mare, I don't think it's about short nails. I like short too. It's how far below your finger that makes it more difficult. Also most people wouldn't want the nail that low, it would be impossible to use your nail to grab something and for me, the tips of my fingers would be tender/sore with no protection.
One time while having my nails done I asked him to cut them some because I run a cash register and mess with money all day. He’s like “Are you sure? Men like longer nails.” 🙄 That’s all fine and good sir, but I like them short. 😂
Ew this is ick but they do the same thing about pedicure toenail length. I say short short short- they never want to cut them. Who wants claws. Are we climbing trees here? Makes me wanna vomit. Lol. I also love short finger nails and square and that evidently very out of style and I get the same shit so i fully get it.

Have you tried canned coconut milk in your coffee ? It’s pretty good .
Yes girl! I love short nails. I’m a nurse and I feel like it’s dirty to have long nails. Also, I have shit to do and I feel handicap with long ones 😂
I love fog, its so beautiful

That is what Authors do would be my retort to the nail person! 👍🏼♥️🇨🇦
I use Silk Creamer, and I like short nails too even when I get my nails done, I get them semi short.
I commented too soon! Foamed oat milk is great. I try to limit soy as it can mess with hormones and isn't the healthiest choice per my Naturopath.

I get lots of requests for oat milk from the vegans at work they say it's naturally a little sweet.
Thousands of Bees die making those avacados.
