  • Did you know about Shaq’s dirty secret?
    In 1990 David Robinson was the NBA’s Golden Boy
    He won rookie of the year and led the Spurs to the greatest single season turnaround in NBA history.
    But his image was too perfect and his hard working play style embarrassed lazy defenders, like Shaq.
    On Shaq's birthday in 1994 in his own hometown David destroyed him.

    You know for all the good he does and how selfless he can be, Shaq Really is a little baby at times. His feud with Wilt is hysterical. Shaq wants to be known as the most dominant player because that's his niche, while his numbers are basically 50% of Wilt's.

      I don't know why people try to deflect from celebrities behaving badly by accusing other celebrities of also baby badly. Shaq straight up lied about one of the nicest guys and best players to ever play the center position simply because he was upset he wasn't getting enough affection from the media and the fans.

      @@SDesWriter lol Shaq had more attention than the Admiral ever had. Shaq made up that story to motivate himself, he told the story many times. People worship MJ, not you or I, but Jordan can do no wrong. Like you said he punched people but Shaq telling this story is nothing in comparison. I know Shaq wasn't berating teammates. On top of that, Shaq WAS a big baby in some ways...but Shaq is one of the most liked players ever. Should Shaq have been in better shape? Of course, but no one is perfect and hindsight is 20/20.

    • @SDesWriter
      @SDesWriter 2 роки тому +13

      @@mycitysucks8096 Shaquille had more attention for his career (And it was earned due to his numbers and successes), But as this video pointed out, early in his career David Robinson was still the media darling, especially with Tim Duncan playing alongside him. Personally I'd rather have somebody punch me in the head over a dispute on the court where I could punch him back then run like a little bitch to the media and make up lies about me to attempt to hurt my popularity.
      All that said, O'Neill has been one of the most outstanding ex-pro athletes out there with his massive contributions to charity and being involved in the community in dozens of ways that make a difference. I think there's some serious insecurity happening with him causing him to still take offense at obvious truths like someone saying Wilt was a more dominant player, but on a grand scale Wilt was a complete dick off the court so Shaq wins there hands down.

    They called David Robinson The Admiral because he served and played for the Navy. He is a nice, respectable guy. One of my favorites. He gave me an autograph at MSG while I was wearing a Patrick Ewing jersey.
    He said, "dont feel bad, if I didn't play for San Antonio, I'd wear a Ewing jersey too".
    He's the man, and doesn't get the credit of what an all time great He is.

When he was 50+++ years old he used to play pickup games against NBA stars and no one could score on him and he had almost every shot that even Elgin Baylor had and no one could stop him. I watched on TV when Wilt blocked Kareem's sky-hook and another time blocked his slam-dunk.
