Mamamoo was literally called “Monster Rookie” the moment they debuted and performed live. Their seniors literally slept on them bc their company was unknown and they weren’t looking like your typical cute idol group. But when they got invited to an award show and performed infront of them, seniors who didn’t pay no attention in the beginning invited them to their dressing room to compliment them and even invited them to their concert!
This was in the middle of a 4.5 hour concert! Best GG out there imo by far! This is a medley of old Korean songs they covered for a show contest called “Immortal Songs 2”
People in kpop throw around vocal praise. Like every performance for every group someone is going "THE VOCALS" so until you listen to Mamamoo you might underestimate it when we call them "the Vocal Queens" but they really are just above and beyond. Untouchable.
Actually, Moonbyul is the most respected rapper in the Kpop industry, because she’s known to personally writes all of her rap verses, and to co-write a lot of songs for others groups. And Mamamoo is definitely the best group, they’re know especially for their vocals of course, and they are the only group to be nominated “the Vocals Queens” because the four of them can sing incredibly good, and as you guys saw, their lives shows are even better then the recorded songs

Moonbyul (the rapper) actually has MAD vocals, and I'm not even one of those fans who's delusional about their faves. If you want to hear her really sing, I'd recommend her solo R&B songs she wrote like, "Absence" and "Ddu Ddu." One of the best songs to come out of the Mamamoo soloists imo, and they have accompanying music videos too. Queedom was meant to be a singing competition show. Every time they appeared it was like an atomic bomb exploded. Like the show is going along with various singers,... then OH! ALIENS FROM ANOTHER PLANET HAVE TAKEN THE STAGE, and are tearing down the house. the backstage cameras showing other performers watching them are priceless. You should go see Mamamoo's "KILLING VOICE Dingo Music", everyone's voices are also very appreciated there, Hwasa was sick in that performance and still sang beautifully✨ Also, Solar just had a new comeback, "honey", you should watch it too.
This was for their 2017 concert, named ‘Mamamoo Concert Moosical: Curtain Call’ they picked their version of the songs they sang during the show "IMMORTAL SONGS", performing an Eleven-Minute long medley in the middle of a Four-Hour long concert. And the crazy part is that Solar was unhappy with the last Belt because she had to stop moving to complete it... crazy woman, LOVE HER.
All these songs are covers of Korean oldies. They performed these on their various appearances on the competitive TV show called "Immortal Songs 2". One of the few kpop idol groups to win the show, and they've done it multiple times. All the most famous vocalists in Korea compete on this show, only the most vocally talented kpop idols even try.
