Power Rangers RPM: Rose McIver Revisits Playing the Yellow Ranger

- If there’s a Collider Ladies Night guest who’s been part of a Power Rangers production, you can bet I’m going to ask about it. At this point, the franchise includes 22 themed series (a total of 28 seasons of television), three feature films and more on the way via Netflix. Not only is it a hugely successful property with a significant fanbase, but the Power Rangers shows are also hugely unique productions in a very CG-heavy industry.
Yes, the usage of digital effects has increased over the years, but Power Rangers still leans into practical techniques far more than most modern productions. Given the fact that such a defining feature like that likely calls for a more unique approach to the filming process, I opted to dig into that with Rose McIver on Collider Ladies Night.
With her new show Ghosts thriving on CBS, McIver took the time to retrace her steps in the industry to sitcom headliner. In 2009, not only did McIver see the release of her break out movie, Peter Jackson’s The Lovely Bones, but she also starred in Power Rangers RPM as Summer Landsdown, the show’s Yellow Ranger.
Check out what she told us about the Power Rangers experience in this Collider Ladies Night After hours clip!

What a nice surprise. RPM is one of the best before Disney pulled the cord on Power Rangers. Rose is among the few that succeeded after Power Rangers.
RPM is surprisingly a pretty solid series in terms of storytelling
RPM and Jungle Fury were some of the best and they were back to back.
Dino Thunder was one of my favorites
@@danielland3767 Dino thunder was top tier I can't lie
@@b_v1 it was, the self awareness they had was hilarious & I loved that it fleshed out Tommy Oliver story
@@gavinsmith9871 Jungle Fury is really underappreciated it was really really good.
I think RPM has the best cast tbh, They're all good actors, Not just good actors for Power Rangers, but good actors overall
RPM was a great season.
She was so strong and a great roll model on the show
Her role as Summer Landsdown in Power Rangers RPM was great and one of the best Yellow Rangers ever. 💛⚡️ As her career moves on, Rose will always be remembered a Power Ranger.
Rpm was the first power rangers series that had a setting so science fiction that it would have fit right on syfy channel
She looked so young! She’s still gorgeous!!
One of the best yellow rangers
Loved her on RPM.
Wedding gown fight scene. Beat ever. Whether she's pestered by ghosts, brain eating zombie or Morphin, love Rose.
Great interview ! Rose is awesome - loved her in RPM- one of the best Ranger seasons !
RPM GET IN GEAR!!! ⚙️ ⚡⚡❤️🖤💛
Now she works with ghost!
I love her on Ghosts now!!!!!!
Rpm was one best ranger series I seen
Summer is my favorite yellow ranger
Rpm my favourite ♥️

A WAW GOOD VIDEO OF POWER RANGERS
BADDDDDDIEEE
Rpm was awesome 😎
Hmm, why am I seeing Rose McIver as Sue Storm? I want this. OMG 😱!!!
To be honest now and I'm thinking she definitely looks like Sue Storm Invisible Woman from Fantastic Four 👈
@@jimramos2613 Yes! Spread the word! Let's make this happen?😂
Yes, let's make it happen!
Why not? Her fellow RPM Ranger Eka Darville is in Jessica Jones, and Jungle Fury Rhino Ranger actor, Nikolai Nikolaeff was in a few episodes of Daredevil. 😁
My friend and I have been fan-casting a hypothetical Legend of Zelda animated movie, and we somehow settled on her as adult Zelda, with Thomasin Mackenzie as young Zelda.
I think they have the vocal quality for it, and the idea of Zelda being voiced by someone from where they made Lord of the Rings just feels right, ya know?
She is my fvrt
She still such a beautiful woman
Awesome 😎 video
RPM had no business having such a great writing and acting for a power rangers show. All the rest are clearly for children below 10 but RPM feels like something even adults can enjoy
RPM almost feels like it was made for adults, sure kids can watch and enjoy the show but it's not until they get much older that they begin to understand the story of it
Well it is a unique show because of the rubber monsters.
RPM, get in gear!
She is beautiful great interview
DC and or Marvel in her future ......
She kind of already did play a character for DC. She was "Liv Moore" the main character of the show "iZombie" on the CW. Based on the comic book "iZombie" by Vertigo Comics owned by DC and Warner Bros. Rebranded as "DC VERTIGO".
she is the only that really break out
The actor who played red ranger has also made it big. He played Malcolm on Jessica jones. Emma lahana from dino thunder was on avengers. Red from dino thunder is a producer and director. The yellow ranger from jungle fury was in cabin in the woods. I'm sure these same actors have also been on lots of other shows/movies and I'm missing many other actors too. So no, she's not the only one that broke out
@@veryonlineman sure the other had smalll parts as supporting casts but when i said break out, i mean a genuine star. The leading lady if you will. She has done that with her solo shows that last seasons. She wasny a cameo or supporting cast. She lead it.
Sad only saw first 2-3 seasons now
Best yellow ranger IMO.
Why Disney never put RPM on Disney XD I will never understand it! I mean, that channel was literally for boys what more of a boys showed them Power Rangers?
Anna is more beautiful
Ese fue su peor papel
Shup up doofus
