Hi, as the author of Beyond Corny Groń I wanted to thank for this kind review and recommendation! :) The book was written in English, and Polish edition came later on (we are printing PL book as we speak), so I'm really glad you'd enjoyed writing done by non-native speaker (surely thanks to a great editor!). The inclusion of Hungarian vibes comes from the fact that Polish part of Carpathian Mountains was always a crucible of cultures from lands surrounding it. With many Hungarian and Romanian / Wallachian influences, local folklore, dialect, customs etc. are very unique, even in comparison to other Polish regions.
Yoon-Suin is fantastic! I ran it for four years and we had such a great time. What you say is really true though: It's a book for prepping. But it makes prepping so much fun and exciting! Not to mention the sessions! :)
Miklagard sounds cool, but that Cornygron setting is pretty amazing. If I have the $$$ after all the other things I've yet to purchase on my ever-growing list inspired, these days, largely by Red Mage. 😊: take a bow. Lol
Worth noting that the Carpathian Mountains run through northern and central Romania and encompass several ranges throughout the country, meaning that Beyond Corny Gron is an amazing pickup if you want to add a little more historic culture-centric influence to any game set in Barovia.
I already have Corny Groń, both in Polish and English :) I have heard about Yoon-Suin, but Miklagard is new to me. Added to wishlist. Thanks for highlighting those awesome setting books! :)
Yoon Suin looks pretty good also. You could (perhaps) put them all in the same world, with enough physical distance between them so that you could keep direct refences to each vague and mysterious, rather like The Far East during Marco Polo's time. Another great review, RedMage
Not that it helps, but my copy was from Runehammer Games' brick-and-mortar store. They focus on indie ttrpgs instead of the 5E cash cow. The store gets shipments from Exalted Press, but Corny Gron may have been a fluke. I'll ask next time I'm there. You never know....
@@TheRealBobEsqueleto oh, cool! Runehammer also got books from us, but I wasn't sure if they're already available there, I was only able to check the online store, so thanks for this update! :D
The physical book of Beyond Corny Groń is quite nice. Clothe-bound cover, 3 ribbons (grey, gold, and black), cream color pages, and cool contrast in the greys of the fonts with the bold/black art. Of course, it's a little pricey for all those features, and it presumably ships from Poland.
I love the slugmen of Yoon-Suin, have even integrated them in my own world. Thank you also @RedMageGM for pointing out the other two books, both very interesting and on my wishlist now. Love the way you present your reviews. 🍻
@@RedMageGM Your channel is extremely useful and the amount of obscure yet amazing (and sometimes even free!) adventures you showcase is staggering! Thank you for the excellent work!

It's a fantastic book! You should be quite proud of it!!

I was thinking of that very thing! If I ever return to the world of my Legacy of Strahd game, I'll add in Corny Gron for sure!
These all look great, the woodcut art style of Corny Gron is great. These are all going on my wishlist.
Glad to hear it!!

Definitely - I think that I'm going to casually throw in Yoon-Suin references into my worlds as something "away out there somewhere".
Corny Gron. Reluctantly skipped the Kickstarter. Didn't expect to come across a physical copy later in a game store. Worthy purchase.
Wish I could happen upon one! :D
@@RedMageGM if you're US-based, you can check Exalted Funeral store - first "batch" was sold out, but they might have restock in the near future :)

I definitely would like to get a copy. It seems like it would be a great thing to add to my shelf!
Beyond Corny Groń books are available in EU, UK, and US at friendly stores ;)
@@jakubskurzynski584, it is a beautiful book you produced!

There is an OSR version of Escape from Miklagard on DMs Guild.
I am amazed how quickly you are making these great reviews.
haha thanks!
Very much in agreement with your review of Yoon Suin 2e. It's very imaginative and inspiring, but it's a book for GM downtime and prep mostly.
Yeah, it doesn't seem super wieldy at the table.
I love the isometric maps of the 3rd book.
Yeah, the art and maps in the book are amazing. I just wish there were more!

I'm glad to hear they're helpful!
Dang, now I want to play Ironsworn using Beyond Corny Groń as the setting.
Keep up the great content man i would never have found these books without your video!
I'm so glad it was helpful!
Another great review!
Thank you!

Thank you!
14:39 It's Yurko Yanicek :-) a character is based on legendary highwayman, similar to Robin Hood.
