In all seriousness, having read some of the book through (cough) certain means (Yar, me hearties), it's almost as though someone wrote it as a parody of political memoirs. The utter lack of the merest amount of self reflection is astounding, only surpassed by the egotistical self importance. You could end every chapter with, "Needless to say, I had the last laugh."
Or, "Needles to say, I took drugs". I can imagine Truss being upset about her daughter venturing into Greggs.
