Hi mate I love people doing diy but you really don’t need to wrap the thread on your compression fittings your sealing surface is between the olive,fitting body and pipe, love the videos!
Yes that's totally true as far as leaking is concerned but I find the tape helps the parts do up nice and smoothly like when you use Boss White or similar. It does look a bit untidy though.
Thanks Johny that was interesting. Could you have refinished the tubes instead of replacing the whole radiator?
I don't think that would be possible. Apparently you can get a chrome like paint now but the new rad was only £20 anyway.
