I made a buffalo chicken Stromboli for a friend and I made an Italian one for me and it had Parmesan and mozzarella in it it was soo good thank you for this recipe
We tried this it was delicious 😋 if you don’t like salty don’t put too much cheese. But it was perfect its like getting it from the restaurant or a lot better.
Definitely going to try this with some marinara sauce for dipping. Good stuff Tony!!! You're making life easy for us young bachelors who want to get our culinary game correct. Cheers!!
This is a great video. I use motz, provalone and Parm. I also put minced garlic in the crust. I however didn't use egg wash. That was a great trip. Thank you
You are Gorgeous and so is your food. Going to make this tomorrow. Can't wait. Looks scrumptious! Just found your "channel". Will be checking out all your recipes. Want to try all of them. I'm retired and have lots of time.
Hi from Australia 😁🇦🇺👋💁♀️wow this episode if the frist time just now i ever seen stromboli. I just though it was a name out of pinocchio. I love this idea its better than a calzone 8 heard of...thank you.
I know when cooking things, there is a difference between an electric stove to gas stove, I am planning on making a pizza like this, so what would you suggest (temp and time)?
For pizza an electric oven may actually be an easier bake. I am usually at 400 to 425 (depending who wants the pizza in my house). The reason I say electric may be better is it is more even in it's heat and you will have less hot spots in the oven (I have a new gas oven I am not used to yet, the back cooks a little faster so I have to rotate things).
ok, looks good. I'mma make it. Will let you know how hubby liked it. I let him view the last few seconds of your vid & he approved just from the pic. Soooo, yep gonna venture off and give it a try. tnx for the vid !
I would change it a little instead of butter olive oil and I would add ground Italian sausage and ricotta cheese inside and make my tomato gravy to dip
Ok I need to know what your dip is lol. I love when people tweak things. I almost always end up with something cooler and better! Thanks for checking it out and the tip!
Add butter and some olive oil in medium saucepan and heat over medium-low heat Add garlic, oregano, pepper flakes, and large pinch salt and cook, stirring frequently, until fragrant but not browned, about 3 minutes. Add tomatoes, basil sprigs, onion halves, and sugar 1 (28-ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil 1 tablespoon unsalted butter 2 medium cloves garlic, grated on microplane grater (about 2 teaspoons) 1 teaspoon dried oregano Pinch red pepper flakes Kosher salt 2 (6-inch) sprigs fresh basil with leaves attached 1 medium yellow onion, peeled and split in half 1 teaspoon sugar Adding butter to a sauce helps round off the rough edges and gives it a richer, fuller mouthfeel (the olive oil is still there for flavor). Starting with whole peeled tomatoes generally sets you up with higher quality tomatoes, and therefore better results (they also break down better than diced, which are treated to maintain their shape, and are more consistent than crushed. Hope this helps sorry was typing alot😁
So my stromboli story.... A few years back we (my little family) was at the mall we stopped at Great Steak for lunch and the next restaurant over int he food court (is it really a restaurant I mean it is just the counter you know) was a Sabarro. They had a bunch of Pizza's out and then a Stromboli (though I didn't know what it was at the time). I was staring at it like man that looks so good, so I went over and took a picture of it and had to google it later that day lol... and my Stromboli obsession started lol,😆😆😆
this looks great you might want to get you one of those silicone mats you can use for baking, put it on the counter and then put the parchment paper over that, it will not slip and slid on you. I am gonna make this for sure.
I keep telling myself I need to get one. We figured with as many things as we end up putting on out baking sheets it would only make sense. Let me know how you like it!
Now your talking my language .made this recipie and got a 2 thumbs up. I tried it before with roasted peppers bong bong way to go with another awesome recipie dude😎
@@AverageGuysGourmet I made two Salami, Pepperoni, and Ham. With provolone cheese, onions, mustard,, black pepper, Sea salt, parsley and oregano. They were fantastic. Thanks for the tips.
Love strombolli. Made it for 6 years at a local pizza joint. This looked delicious based on the pictures...but I couldn't get past the over the top annoying guy...lol. It would be hard to be around this guy for more then a minute!
OMG Yes but it is sooooo good! and easy!! The 28th is the Royal Rumble (yes I am a wrestling nerd lol) and this is one of the things I am making for my party!
Not going to lie... totally working on it lol. Doing the full time Data analyst, and sports dad thing it's going slower than hoped.. but is happening =) Thanks
Classic Italian Stromboli. First step old pre made pizza dough...... nothing classic Italian is pre made. Nice video. But maybe next time get fresh dough.
@@AverageGuysGourmet bingo if everybody got time they wouldn't be on UA-cam. I'm buying already made pizza dough & peppers onions provolone to make some tonight. The heck with making dough. I can make dough but why should I. It should take about 1-2 hours I'm hungry now. So I'm gonna buy pizza dough from the supermarket. Cheers
Sorry this is not classic Stromboli bread. It is Stromboli type. But when making classic you need to have classic Italian cold cuts and no pepper jack cheese. Maybe provolone cheese, never pepper jack. I like your adaptation. Happy eatting
Just to point out, Stromboli is not Italian, it's American. Pretty much no one here in Europe has even heard about it. If you ask about Stromboli in Italy, they'll say it's a volcanic island north from Sicily.
Who had this at school and fell in love with it just me oh
I been looking for the school recipe for soooooo long 😟
YYEESS!!
Me! That's why I'm looking it up! I homeschool my kids and want them to experience it lol

Or you can just get regular pizza sauce if you don’t want to make from scratch
If I was doing old style it would take me a couple of days to make my gravy
OMG you are so awesome! Thank you! I love trying new recipes. I swear I learn as much form this channel as I show how to make.

Thanks for the support and feed back =)
This is leveled up bro
Thanks! I am glad you like it!
I use parchement paper with my recipe and I use large paperclips to bring the paper up the strombolie's sides. I later undue them.
Looks good!
You should try it! It is so easy and tastes awesome! =)
Think i will! It's very similar to my stromboli!
Wow! Cooking with Keegan Key! :)

Awesome I glad you liked it! And roasted peppers sounds like an amazing addition!
Do you think I could substitute bacon in for the salami?
Yea I would pre-cook it before putting it in though.
Just tested it out, my husband said it's the best stromboli he"s ever had. Thanks!
Thank you!!!
You're welcome!
Yeah Super Bowl!
Hey it's a true food holiday too!! lol That's what I am trying to put out now Super Bowl worthy dishes lol
Marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
Like a boss
We live in 2019 and haven't made it possible to taste food over the internet. What are we doing?
I am dead over here laughing hard.
I've tasted one but it was brought from a pizza place. I think I'm going to one and put a Lil pizza sauce in it.
I'm about to hook up some Homemade Strombolis for the Wife and Daughters.
Just decided to watch, and subscribe to your UA-cam channel.
Thanks! Let me know how everyone likes it, or if you make any tweaks to it =)
