Me da took me to the cinema to see the fog when I was a wee girl. I was horrified then and at 57 years old I am still frozen with fear!! Now that is filmmaking!! One of the best scary films out there!! 🙀🙀
Great film. I saw it when it was current(I'm 61) and again just last year on dvd. It hasn't lost any of its allure. I live on a coast in Halifax,NS,and am very used to sometimes very thick fog. The atmosphere created is very familiar here.
I recall my son watching this...from a viewpoint that was NOT in the same room. He said it was scarier than Halloween 1978. I started to get interested in lighthouses after I saw this movie. It is definitely a must see! Very creepy!
Curtis was desperately trying to avoid being typecast into the "goody goody" girl role as seen in Halloween, and this provided her with the opportunity. Strange how she almost immediately segued into comedy films!
Truly a great movie and Jamie Lee I love you, you are absolutely beautiful and inspiring and intelligent I also love the fact that you read books too I read books as well , I believe it is absolutely the reason why you just know what to give and bring to the characters you portray because it's intelligents 🌺
I always thought it was odd that there were multiple female leads in the film (Barbeau, Leigh and Curtis). Turns out Carpenter wrote Jamie Lee into the story just so she would had a job. It worked as she appeared in Prom Night and Terror Train later the same year.
I watched it again last night and I thought, “wow! They ended up in bed quick.” Then I thought it couldn’t have been that great because they had to get from point A to point B, have sex, then go through a sketch book all in less than an hour.
Such an underrated film. Absolute classic ghost story
I wonder if she knows many people love her because of her characters in Carpenter's movies mostly.
i love THE FOG
Yaaaaas🤘😄
The Fog, The Thing and Christine were the first three John Carpenter horror films I saw. I finally got round to Halloween several years later.
I love The Fog! Just picked it up on blu, thank you Scream Factory!

Just watched this recently and I commented to my other half regarding that scene "she sure is easy", lol.
So is he!
They made everybody look "easy" in that era-- that was part of the horror movie checklist back in the 70s and 80s: ti*s, as*, and pe*verts!!!!!

In my opinion, better than Halloween.
I'm assuming she and Nick get together, get married, and settle down. I don't know for sure. That's just what I'm assuming.
McKay, don't be an ass-hat! The internet is full of tunnel and doesn't need another.

What I wonder is what happened to her character after the fog? Did she say "fuck this" after everything happened and went back to her Rich life?
Probably not. People who go through terrible experiences together tend to bond. She probably felt an obligation to stay there.
