One of the truest improvisers out there. Every time you listed to him he has endless phrasing. Most improvisers have about 70% rehashed phrases and about 30% of true improvising, but Scott is like pure 100% improvising and always pushing the envelop.
I have always had the same impression. Also some stuff of Albert Collins, one of the people who makes the guitar sing like a sax without a tremolo bar.
the thing I like the most about his playing is, with all his chops and knowledge, he is fearless....risk fucking up big, pull off little acts of God along the way. God Speed.
A monster in the phrasing, using all the tools mel min, dim, aug, whol tone etc... but only in serving the story he tells and the mélody. By the way I play the same guitar.
Scott has always been so fresh and original. His rhythmic phrases and note-choice are brilliant. Has his rightful place in the pantheon of greats:)

Song "Mr.PC" !! Cool!👍
Can't believe I never heard this guy until tonight. Phenomenal. And like others said, the bass player is matching the awesome energy
Scott's playing and tonal formation is almost sax-like in quality. New to his stuff. So good,

I remember it. Clinic in Palma de Mallorca 18-20 years ago. Sala Assaig (nowadays called Es Gremi). Tomas Merlo on electric bass. I was there!
SH+Palma ; i wish i was there !
Unmatched!
Awesome angle, awesome playing, thanks for the video chum

Reminds me of Jeff Beck and, hey, great bassist too.
“Mr. PC” by Coltrane (a tribute to the great bass player Paul Chambers).
Oh yeah :)
Ce n'est pas moi qui joue la 😅

Saw this years ago.
Then it was gone.
So good, one of the greats.😊
Mr PC by John Coltrane.
j'aime quand les solos de basse sont coupés ! ;)
Ah ces guitaristes !!

Which guitar are you playing?
It's like Jeff beck meets Wayne Krantz
the word "genius" gets thrown around wily-nilly these days, but in this case...
Outside
Mr PC! That's some crazy outside playing. Love Scott!
這個基本上彈很慢因為jazz的樂句是要處理比較內涵的那部分!所以聽覺上是要思考是比較不討好耳朵那類的
Não entendi!
😂
Probably the most fun traditional Strat player ever (not named Jeff Beck, and that wasn't necessarily a traditional Strat he was playing)
It's a strat made by john suhr, scott henderson model, i bought the exact same guitar many years ago and still my favorite guitar.
his timing is dodgey in places.
Random internet person saying Henderson’s timing is “dodgey”. 😂😂😂
