Plasma absolutely did the best in a Rusical performance out of every franchise. Her movement was so sharp and her lip syncing was so tight! She nailed everything that was asked of her and more.
Honestly Imo Candem was the best ever in a Rusical, she had all that and she was way more captivating/charismatic. Courtney Act did a fantastic job too

I'd love to see a video about queens who were ahead of their time - ie those were critiqued for things that later became show staples. I'm thinking Violet wearing pants, Milk on the runway as werkroom Ru in boy drag, Rock doing a fart joke etc. There's a related category of pioneering queens like Kennedy as Lil Richard or Milk wearing facial hair on the runway, but those aren't as intriguing to me because it includes those who were successful. I think it's a lot more interesting to look at how tastes and norms have changed over the course of the show.

Hi Jack! This is totally unrelated to this video, But I just rewatched season 4 and some of the earlier seasons of drag race. I noticed how much the format changed not only in challenges and twists and such which you already talked about, but as well how the episode is layer out. For example, they have “ previous on drag race” clips when a commercials usually plays to recap what has happened. We get to see clips of the queens shaving and living in the hotels outside of drag race. I had as well almost forgotten they usually say “ she mail” when ru appears. They also show clips of a preview of what will happen in the same episode when they have cut together the sassy judging with randomly faces of the queens, I had totally forgot about that and they don’t do that anymore! I’m not an American however, so I can’t watch the show when it airs, so if they still do this when it originally airs please let me know! Another change I noticed is that the queen that won the main challenges before season 5 got immunity the following episode. If there are more of these small changes that you have noticed I would love it if you made a video of it if you want! 💗

When we talk about people who set the bar in challenges, I keep thinking that there’s no single queen who can do everything well. The closest we got was Sasha Colby but her comedy fell a little flat in her season. Then Sapphira came along. She can do EVERYTHING. She can dance, sew, impersonate characters, host, lip sync, you name it. I think if she wins she’ll be the strongest winner we’ve ever had.
Read U Wrote U allowed the queens to not only write verses, but write incredibly long lyrics. No group has ever gotten to write verses this long. They should bring this back.
Looking at what snatch game is today, I have to disagree that Chad is the biggest influence (and I also don't think it's Jinkx or Kennedy). Gigi Goode was the first queen to win Snatch Game with a character that doesn't exist, which means she didn't have to actually do an impression, she just had to stick to this made up character and be funny. And now, that's what a lot of the queens who do well are doing, when they choose characters that don't really exist (like Satan, the Boogeyman, the Statue of Liberty, and also Plane Jane's Helena Karleusa, since Plane just used the name of an existing celebrity to make up a totally different character) or historical characters that we don't really know how they would talk and act (Mary Queen of Scotts, Harriet Tubman, Anne Boleyn). And RuPaul herself has been saying these past seasons (I know she said it in UKvsTW specifically) that it doesn't really matter if the impression is good, the performance just has to be funny. So we can't say Chad's performance is what sets the bar anymore. (Just to be clear, I don't think that's a good thing, I wish queens were doing more of what Chad did, but that's not the trend that is clearly developing for the challenge)
