    When I go for drives in the country I see a few cattle ranches. These videos shows everyone what all of you do to bring food to our table. They don't need as much land here because of climate. lots of rain and green pastures.

    • @highstandards6226
      @highstandards6226 4 роки тому

      Wrong. The earth still hasn't managed to completely adapt and protect herself from our(humans) destruction. Now, more than ever, animals, and we, need those *trace minerals* that take eons to form, break down and replenish the soil! Or maybe Mother Nature IS trying to rebalance with all the volcanic activity going on. 🤷‍♀️

      Most scientists will say we are growing "more" food, but it's dropped in its nutritional value because of those losses..

    • @Warriorbob-im5py
      @Warriorbob-im5py 4 роки тому

      High standards what does that have to do with his comment? Are you saying he’s wrong that back East we don’t need as much land? If so, you are terribly wrong. Certain parts of the country get more rainfall and the pastures can produce better quality grass and therefore you can graze more animals that is a scientific fact and has been done for centuries. In Indiana we can graze one cow per acre to acre and a half. We get two to three cuttings of high grade hay each year compared to the one cutting of mid grade hay out west.

    Mike I have an old 4x6 gator that I love. With out a doubt the most used piece of equipment I have. I have two questions. 1 what do you use the rifle on? Coyotes? Prairie dogs? Just curious about the type of problem critters you deal with. Not judging! 2 what do you do for fun? You said you don't hunt so do you fish? I see the guitars so I assume you play. I would love to see you do a vlog in what you do for fun.

    Great thinking with the alley lights! We have extra lights on our tractors and trucks but no alley lights. I'll have to tell my son about you installing them.

    At 19:17ish a perfect example of Murphy’s law one rock in a field and you’ll find it, BUT at least if you find the ONE nail it WON’T matter. How do they ride?

    This Amarillo area has over 10 million head of cattle at one time. It takes a lot of care to bring in that many from nearby ranches. Just the trucking from Arizona to Mississippi and Wyoming to Mexico takes considerable care. If ranches have several hundred cows each, it takes over a hundred thousand caretakers to see that calves are delivered. The livestock world is much more complex than most would understand. There is a lot of investment in time and money.

      The more people try to understand the food chain the more mind boogling it becomes. Thanks for sharing that Robert.
