It's a great subject but very different to GCSE. It takes on much more ethics and philosophy. This really gets you into the bones of what it means to be religious and the impact this has on all manner of things from people, morality, existence and the very language we use. If you give RS A Level a chance you'll come to realise it uses the same skill set of subjects such as Maths, Science and English by utilising comparison, analysis, synthesis and judgements but requires you to formalise these thoughts and ideas into long form essays. This is something that really benefits people in future study. Whatever you choose, best of luck for the future
@@rebeck9420 seems good and very beneficial. I dropped A level politics to do A level Philosophy and Ethics I had my first lesson today and it was very interesting
It means 'sanctity of life'. The idea that life is from God and is holy, therefore it should be protected. It allows Jews to ignore most commandments in order to save a life. EG - you work/use a phone to call for help on the sabbath (day of rest) if it meant saving a person's life.
