Padam, Padam the French acronym used to describe someone who won't sleep with their other half before establishing their love/feelings for one another. It stands for, 'Pas Avant D'être Amoureux(se)": literally, 'not before being in love'. It’s a heartbeat
Love this reaction! Your explanation of vocal techniques and their physical characteristics is wonderful 😁 If you want, I’d recommended you check out her performance of “Confide In Me” live in New York, you won’t be disappointed ❤
Your voice is SO dreamy. I could listen to you read the phone book :) She is a great singer live and her performances are almost shows .) She’s amazeballs
As far as Kylie the vocalist is concerned I would highly recommend her performances of "Your Disco Needs You" at Royal Albert Hall, "Confide in Me" live in New York and the "Crying Game Medley" from her Fever Tour. They're all here on yt.
In the 90's she used a lower tone, but wasn't technical. Then in the 00's she pitched her voice, sometimes too much as in Showgirl Tour and Aphrodite era. Kylie is very professional and she never gave up on vocal lessons with her personal coach. She's always improving. In the last couple years she has lowered the tone to a more comfortable and technical way when singing live. There's no difference in her voice still, she's able to sing live the same way as in studio, but on bigger stages and when a performance is more demanding, she now drops the tone a bit maybe to help support and volume. Personally, I love when she does that. And yes, she sings Padam like casting a spell, I get that too. 😅
First time watcher and now subscriber! Loved your analysis, really interesting! She did an acapella of the chorus again with the crowd which unfortunately Capital have cut from their UA-cam video. More Kylie please, she has some amazing live tour performances! Confide in Me in New York, and The Crying Game Medley from Fever Tour. Also some Jools Holland performances Try Your Wings and Come on Strong. Your Disco Needs You has her going all operatic at the end. Her voice has definitely changed throughout the years. During Impossible Princess she started using her chest voice more. As she’s got older she’s definitely using more head voice.
As an Australian it sounds to many of us that she has lost her Aussie accent, but in this song I think the nasal accent works so well, to give it a bit of difference 😊:-)
I'M SURPRISED YOU DIDN'T MENTION HER VIBRATO - IT'S PRETTY POWERFUL. ALSO, KYLIE IS VERY PETITE - SHE'S JUST SHY OF 5FT. THAT'S ALSO WHY SHE HAS MORE OF A NASAL VOICE. REGARDLESS, SHE'S AMAZING AND A QUEEN.
Enlightening analysis, thanks for that, Sam 🙏 I would so very much like to recommend the vocalist Jonah Nilsson with his trio Dirty Loops and their song “Next To You” (link below.) Would love to hear your take on his voice. Btw, he does all the vocal layering on this track, as he does on most of their pieces. Be amazed! ☺️ And thanks in advance 🙏
I really miss your BTS reactions. Please do some of their Solo stuff they are putting out while serving military service. Jungkook just put out Seven, RM released a whole album, Indigo which is a blanking masterpiece. J-Hope put out rap/rock album called Jack in the Box and headlined Lalapaloosa and Suga put out an album, D-Day,. and went on tour. Oh, and Jimin put out a mini album, Face, with a really different style. There are a couple of MV's from each album, as well as live promotion performances.
Kylie’s vocals are heavily backed by an auto-pitched recording. This guides her to sing in tune as with many other artists who rely heavily as they age or simply cannot meet the demands of actually singing live and in tune. Sadly, her vocals would not meet the demands of singing live without that aid, nor on the recording which was heavily sampled with the auto pitch device. But still, her overall appeal and enthusiasm as an artist are overwhelming and it helps with a catchy song and get away with it... As a recording & sound engineer, this is a demand that many artists request when recording - a real singer would not require this, but sadly, Kylie does in every one of her recordings these past years.
Nah, you're not melting. You just have to get used to higher temperatures. Picture this, in 10 years time it might become normal.... that is when you can start complaining. Make sure you have an airconditioning system in about 5 years. 😂🎉
actually just one last thing she was about to sing in accapella for a couple of versus before you hit stop mostreaction videos for this perfpormance got value out of that 10 second accapella which i thnink would benefoted this video reaction given your a vocalist. just observation critic coming from a good place :)
You are aware that in Australia some years ago a Kylie documentary showed she uses autotune and a special microphone to sing.. the echo also is as she sings over a pre record so as a vocal coach you should know this is not real voice thus the Australian saying if her "the singing budgie"
What rubbish. During her PWL recordings, they used a special microphone. Kylie didn't use this on her tours. This was a last minute performance so no band, no backing track apart from the choruses. She is clearly singing live and does the song acapella on the unclipped video.
you cannot be gay aif you dont know more than your average person about kylie just your more than basic info on the gay icon herself ... even not super fan know more than me just saying lol
You should react to a great singer from Poland called Sanah - unique voice and unique way of singing ;) or if you want a great singer it’s Justyna steczkowska live sanktuarium
You should analyze “your disco needs you”.

Totally agree. I’d love a vocal analysis of the Confide in Me Live in New York
Kylie is in complete command of her craft.
Your voice is SO dreamy. I could listen to you read the phone book :)

Yes, phone book! 😊

Queen 👑💯 🎤 shes so good live seen her few times! Her voice is stunning live i reckon, it goes through me like no other artist.... ,💯👑🔥🎤

Oh my god, I simply LOVE this video. So nice to see such a in depth analysis of Kylie's voice. Thanks for doing it!!!
I get it when you talked it about the spooky phrasing
THANK YOUUUUU 😅😅😅
But... but .. she goes into Acapella at the end of Padam. You didn't see it 😫😫😫
Such a good singer

Such an awesome transition from her head voice/falsetto. Her voice range amuses me and I love her tones ❤
PADAM
Am I the only one who absolutely loves her breath control on this? The finale is sublime ❤
Best bit is she sold many millions of albums ,

The mysterious spooky feeling I got that the first time I watched the video it's sort of futuristic love the whole vibe
i feel the only week spot here happens when she has to sing while doing that big long walk in those hard boots
I find you odd and sometimes inscrutable, but you are one of the best reactors I've encountered.
I've subscribed.
You're right about that magical thing. That's how you know it's Kylie, and it has driven me insane since I was boy. 😂
love this reaction!!!!
Thought this was the Pink Panther theme: Padam padam, padam padam padam, padam padaaaaam....
Please listen to California dreaming by Diana Ankudinova👍 from ninth episode of the mask show Diana took off ermine mask and sang this song.
Enlightening analysis, thanks for that, Sam 🙏

Hey, I would love to see more sleep token reactions. I think that nazareth and the summoning would be the best to react by you.

@@SSTVocalCoach its all good hahah thats why i was like "nooooooo stay anotherr 10-15 seconds" all good your amazing though :)
You are allowed to say when someone is pitchy you know? She's human - perfection isn't really possible in live performances with songs like this.
