How can anyone even dislike a message preached on God's word, an inspiring message by an ordained speaker.

Honestly, what is questionable is the "respect of persons" that seems to be given to people with fame in the church as though that is the most important thing in the world. Let's face the fact, MONEY and FAME talks.
On the other hand, let me put a caveat to what was said in my earlier post. It's not necessarily a backslide to be a director of movies by any means though I could be wrong. What's a compromise is when we are apart of MOVIES or PROGRAMS that promote values or teachings contrary to what the Bible teaches.

There are two sides to what is taking place here. On the one hand, there is no doubt that our friend that is the speaker on this video was not obedient to God as it relates to what he has been a part of in Hollywood. While some of the movies have a seemingly good message at the end, there is some very impure messages that are found throughout these movies. In addition, the movie "Heaven Is For Real" promotes spiritualism, as it suggests that people go to heaven when they die as opposed to resting in the grave. Lastly, the Bible is clear that Christians ought not to be unequally yoked together with unbelievers, and while the speaker's wife may now profess to be a Christian (and I would dare not judge her conversion experience) I don't believe she is a member of the SDA faith, though I could very much be wrong.
On the other hand, we as Christians must understand the grace of God. The grace of God is such that even when we are disobedient, go off course, and rebel against His will to DO OUR OWN THING; that He is still waiting with open arms to welcome us if we just turn around and come to Him. Our dear brother may have been disobedient to God's will, but God is a merciful God and we need to be praying for him. It may be that where he may have failed in the past to be obedient to the will of God as it relates to what he promotes in Hollywood in the past, God may still be able to use him in the future. Many may not realize it, but it was not God's will for the Jews to still be in Persia in the time when Esther became the queen's wife. They should have gone back to Jerusalem when Cyrus gave them the opportunity to rebuild the temple, but not all of them did so. In addition, Esther HID her religion while serving as a queen in his palace. Therefore, in essence it might have been said that she was a BACKSLIDDEN jew, but still God used her.
The same may be said for our dear brother. He may have backslidden into the position that he was in, but God can still use backslidden brothers and sisters who turn to Him for His glory. Consider this, our dear brother may have backslidden, but God still used him to introduce or reintroduce Oprah Winfrey to the Sabbath. He may have been unequally yoked in marriage, but who knows whether or not his wife truly surrenders her life COMPLETELY to Christ as an SDA Christian because of it. Shelly Quinn of 3ABN married a backslidden Adventist, but now she, along with her spiritually-revived husband, are hosts on 3ABN. I agree that this may not have been God's original plan, but let's pray for our dear brother that God may save him, his wife, and many others in spite of it all.
Follow Matthew 18 and Galatians 6:1 with our brother and his wife. Drop your stones that you're holding over them like the Pharisees held over the woman CAUGHT in the act of adultery. Yes, he's been caught, and what he did may have been wrong, but Jesus did not CONDEMN and neither should we. Encourage people to go and sin no more.
On the other hand, we need to take note of the exceptional methods that Pastor Doug Batchelor utilized in a sermon. Not too many months ago he spoke against the movie "Heaven Is For Real" as a movie promoting spiritualism, but you never, EVER heard him even mention the name of the producer. Why? It is because the producer of the movie, our brother on this video, is a soul that needs to be saved just like everyone else, and love--not CONDEMNATION--will do more to draw him than anything else. Maranatha. The Lord is coming.

One thing that I take back is anything about his wife. I was wrong to say ANYTHING about her Christian experience. Furthermore, it is my conclusion that whoever you marry IS the person you were meant to be with. I'm praying for them as a couple.

That is such a good piece of work. Your message will stand there on UA-cam forever. For the next generation to learn. You should write essays.
