Music by Epidemic Sound (www.epidemicsound.com)
Anyone else do a little happy dance when they hear Josh's intro music or is it just me?
Hahahaha yup, every time 👍😅. I also like the little truck and the miles counter too in his intros.
I KNOW I LOVE IT ! ITS SO CHEERFUL !
What is the name of Josh's intro tune at the moment?
Its a very catchy tune.
@@matthewhawkins106 I just thought it was some stock music from UA-cam but I Shazamed it and it says Magnetic Kid by Kenzo Almond, haha. It's only a 30 second song though
Just you.
Good Lad. I have nothing good to say about Fountain Tire, but I'm sure glad they got the job done for you. Thanks for sharing.
Trucker Josh, trucker Josh ( In that voice), You didn't even show us the damaged tire..... C*** What A-day.
Josh, buy a used tire to match up with the worn one and run them till fall.
That's the plan I have now too
Winter air ? Is winter air only used in Canada in the winter months ? Can u log off duty all of the waiting time ? Vielen Dank Josh for the time in making this video for us in you tube land. Bye for now from New Jersey. 🇺🇸🇨🇦👍👍👍
Been driving since 1992 and it's never taken me 5hrs to get a tire guy to show up. I would have been livid if they told me 2hrs & took 5.
I would put two more new ones on the other side of the back axle, and run it like that till next fall, or whenever the front ones need replacing and then swap the back ones to the front axle and put brand new ones on the back, if you do them all different times you’ll have tires all different wear levels, which would bother me but I get spreading out the expense.
Maybe… the leaky side was down when you were parked…. Then…. When you relocated it let the air out!
Final statement >>>
1500bucks, ouch. Fill up in murica 3 times times and your tires are essentially free :)
On my way to Pembina , hope to run into you
Replace them all at once it is hard on the diffs to have new and older tires on.
In past vids when I first heard you say "winter air in your tires" I seriously thought, ok, I guess cold air is different from summer/hot air 😅👍😅👍😅. Keep on truckin Josh 👍
I know this commemt is late but I've been busy lately and have fell behind on watching your videos, but am slowly catching back up
You probably already made your decision but what I would do is buy 6 new drives to match the two you just got, BUT save the 6 older ones
Then when it's time to replace the goodyears, buy 2 new firestones to match the 6 you have and BADA BOOM
Josh have you ever thought about investing in tire equalization valves for your dual tires? Both drive and trailer tires? Cat eye is a popular brand. You can tell at a glance if your duals are under or over inflated. And if under inflated, you air up in one outside valve. They keep your tires at equal pressure. What happens generally is you inside tire tends to over inflate because it gets most of the heat from the brake drum. So consequently the inside tire is bigger diameter and drags the outside tire along, causing cupping and uneven wear. They have safety valve in them so if you blow one tire they both don't go flat. Far as I'm concerned, they're a no brainer.
patrick burgmeier - Good to know.
Hey Josh buddy, why not do the same thing anyways that you were gonna do before? Take the new tires set them aside for fall. Keep both the old tires and patch the one thats flat?
At least it happened in a parking lot not at highway speeds!
🍭SWEET🍭A flat tire mystery to be sure! 👍🏼
Should have just went to fountain tire Saskatoon with it a you already drove there with it that way probably and they would have a second hand tire there if ya have done a proper pri trip you wouldn't have been cleaning the light
Bummer about the tire, but like you said it’s a part of the job.
Was hoping you’d make it to Minot, ND. Was hoping to see footage of it now to see what’s changed, since I moved from there years ago. Maybe next time 😂
Keep trucking and stay safe trucker Josh. God Bless 🤙🏻
Those new tires are aggressive and will use more fuel, I’d be selling them or ask your boss if you can trade them
Fountain Tire is a Goodyear dealer.
Happy you got to carry on after that little episode without too much delay
Winter air, ha ha, ha ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha
That's trucking . Expect it when you least expect it. Feel for ya .you never know. Good luck to you.
Glad you didn't have a "Blow Out" You'll have plenty of those when your Ltl Bambino arrives.
Pronounced Bam Bean O 😉
Like Wadena, Wah Dee Na.
I like to call it Wad Na 😜
A long day! i still liked the video. I just hated you had a flat.
Get some hutterite friends. There's lots around in that area. They would of helped u out in minutes. Just saying. I know a lot who would of. And probably free of charge.
so flat tire did u remember to fill it with winter air lol just kidding dont worry happends to every one but now u have a place to store the tires if u see any good tire sales coming up grab them keep them in the shop untill u need them
Glad you made your goal today... I kind of like tire changing videos... LOL Stay safe on the highway and byways, Trucker Josh.
HEY! Hello Josh and Brit!
That’s trucking, like the new more aggressive tires though.
GOOD MORNING JOSH IM THANKFUL YOU CAUGHT THE FLAT B4 HITTING ROAD YOU HAVE A GUARDIAN ANGEL BROTHER ! GREAT VIDEO AS ALL WAYS ! BE BLESSED JOSH STAY SAFE OUT THERE ! ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸🇺🇸🇨🇦🇨🇦 !
Love your videos are some content
Thanks for all your vids. Keep on moving safely. I blew a tire on my bus last week, replaced it with a second hand tire. Drove it for 1000km and found it developed a bubble. Tire separation due to the heat and potholes here in Zambia. Bought 4 new GY's now and hope they'll last.
Perseverance 👍🏽
Hi
Just buy good years tires
What a way to start the morning
they might charge you for a "after hours" fee for it being after 5. all because they took that long to get there! happened to me (noticed it on the paperwork) luckily i'm a company driver!
Talk to John at the Chroma Ranch back home in IDC, he may be interested in your 7 half-worn tires for his film trucks.
No Dog Vlog!
What about retread tires do they use them in Canada
Good eye bud
Did he charge extra for the winter air?
Gm.josh
The good old red bull truck stop lol i drive past there quite often when delivering to battelford or lloydminster
Hello my advice is to change the other 2 on the other side that way you only have to worry about changing the other axle later
I got all new drives this spring while I Timmins. All Michelin XDN2
Not sure how you have 13hrs of driving time left? When you said on camera you said you did your pre trip and than found your flat. Be careful, another vlogger I watch got in hot water incriminating himself when he got pulled into a Wisconsin weigh station for doing the exact same thing. Once you start you day your clock is and has to keep running. Fyi.
Love your videos but enjoy your attitude more!! Cheers.
Sorry you gor a flat . I like to think thst God is protecting you. Pfof you and fsmily. 💪🏽🙏❤🐝
Break downs suck, but no one was hurt and you only lost a bit of time and money, witch can be replaced. Stay safe n keep it rubber side down
I notice the other day, sometime after you left home, you check the tire and it was a bit loose, but not that loose (flat tire)
Just unlucky trucker Josh. Can't be helped, stay safe and drive safely. 🇬🇧
Looks like the new tires are open lug, and the other drives are closed lug. You'll get better traction with the open lug on ice and snow. But they tend to be a little louder.
You never know; maybe the tire guy can put a boot in it and a new tube.
Ever time I stop I check everything. Lights, oil ,engine and tires.
You check the oil every time you stop?
Yeah that seems to happen when you least expect it.
I am old brother and very busy. I don't even know what Gram Mail is but thanks anyway preciate that. I ain't even had time to watch your latest video. 😁
Hey josh did they torqued the wheels nuts at 500ftlbs ?
Remember to re-torque those wheels nuts
Damn a flat tyre and it,s always the inside Dual, when i had my own truck{i,m not driving trucks now} it was almost always the inside tyre, i always carried 2 spare tyres with me and a bottle jack incase ididatyre c could change it and be going instead of having to wait for someone to come out and change it for me but thats just the way we used to do it here safe truckin mate from Australia ,those Goodyear are the same as i ran on my truck and i always got a good run out of them
My 2cents, don't get too bothered by the two odd-new tires. Most likely, they'll wear down relatively quickly to the same height as your old set.
I know you have a kid coming but just my advice from a logger for 40 years change them all at the same time also to add to the comment from tigerhawk84 you are going to wear the new tire faster and in the long run, your diff are wearing a bit to at the same time because you have one set of tire taller than the other three, not to count that in the summer tire are running hotter so old tire have more tendency to blow up, keep it between the line and keep on trucking
Sometime the wait time on road service is rediculous but what can you do.
Try to keep the take off tire with you.
It's tuff to drive after sitting all day doing nothing.
Hey Josh as a person in whom works at a loves truckstop and changes tires for divers the bill fo those runs about 6 to 700 apiece and just for the tire not sure if it's the same for other companies but for us it's that and your looking about right for the bill with road service sometimes I even see that and it happe s more often then they like to admit but glade your able to get some tires and get back on the road
Hello again Josh.
Just from your videos 2 weeks ago, where you stopped in Theif Falls USA with an excellent deal on fuel.
Have you considered taking at least about four 44 gallon drums with you next time, only if your not bobtailing?
I liked that video so much, i pushed the thumbs up button twice... no, just kidding.
Would you mind ( if there`s enough time and you`re feeling so) to show us (because i have NO IDEA!) how you switch the gears? That would be great. Thanks for the videos and for sharing your life with us.
Everyone has their own opinions. Here is mine. Once you get under 7/32nds depth especially during winter or approaching winter you should really consider replacing all of your drives. Here's why. Road calls. You'll blow more tires under 7/32 then over the fresh tread keeps puncture hazards from causing problems costing time delaying appointments late fees running your clock out and the high price of getting a road truck to you. If you might have to call a road truck 3-4times because of blow outs you'll pay less by just replacing all 8 prior to the first blow out... My buddy had a completely different belief then me on this and I'm not saying this this was the sole cause but he went bankrupt 6-8months ago and I'm still rolling making great money with plenty in my maintnece account.
What happened to hours of service since you coasted your truck across the parking lot. Did that start your clock?
Yup it would drive me nuts that all of the tire tread is not the same , 2 new and 6 not very good. The other 6 really are not a good winter tread. The Good Years make the other 6 look pretty bad. Maybe just get the other 6 replaced and be safe for the winter driving? Maybe you can sell the used ones to recoup some money?
Hey Josh just a heads up that while your diffs are open all the power goes to the wheels with the least resistance - your worn older tires which are more likely to slip. This is why on a passenger vehicle you always replace all drive tires at the same time. left and right on a 2x4 or all four on an AWD vehicle. The grip on the new tires will be basically doing nothing unless you have the diffs locked to get unstuck somewhere, not while on the open road. Infact they might even reduce fuel economy because you have to drag them around(assuming they are heavier than the older worn ones that matched the rest). Suffice to say, staggering new tires is very not ideal and in some cases can even harm the drivetrain. I would speak to your mechanic about it at the very least.
The beginning of the video seems to blend in with the hurry up and wait only difference is ur waiting to get a tire not unloaded 🤔 and i would replace the other 2 in a month or 2 so they have good grip for all winter then replace the other 4 on the front axle when u get 4 new ones over time cause 1 side of that axle will grip and the other side wont so if its bad out ull be stuck easier with those old 2 on the rear axle and using the diff lock will probably mess something op with odd tires on 1 axle 🤔 just a thought might save u a ton in repairs to a axle
Those tires will set you back around $2,250 CA or $1,900 USD including service call. I just had a flat on my truck and it cost me $785 for one tire and plus service call for $475 for total of $1,260 in Spokane, WA.
I realized that later as well. It hurts
Damn!!!! I felt that pain for you!
Price of goodyear semi tires blowed up in the past 2 year it’s crazy
During a recent past vlog you did you were kicking your tires and that one was wobbly which was nagging me I am sorry I forgot to mention it when I saw it in the vlog so you could really do a careful check of it. I also thought I may have been seeing things. I know you are so careful and thump your tires constantly to check them as a good trucker should. My husband even taught me to do that on my four wheelers. I actually use his mini wooden baseball bat he kept I his semi. I'm am happy you saw it before taking off though. A blowout on the road wouldn't be a good thing. Road gators cause problems for not only semi drivers but all wheeled vehicles.
The big question is, did you start your hours of service before you found the flat or after?
Pre-trip before your “pre-trip”. “oh I noticed it was flat on my way back from my morning bathroom pit stop”
Sounds like that didn’t apply here unfortunately.
❤
Could always be worse lol
Hi Canadian wow lotta time consuming I was thinking about those two new tires you could put it in the front one on each side and put the front to your driver side in the back??? Safe travels.
You don't want drive tires on your steer axle. Steer tires are special
@@MidwayGuy good to know thx
How does that work when your an owner/operator. Tires flat on your truck you pay and if flat on the trailer the company?
What would happen if you went to Florida with winter air in the tires?
Why not buy the tires in the US?
STUFF HAPPENS.
Did you get a free valve stem cap with your tire? LOL
Nope, they reuse your old caps.
Do only Aussie truckers change their own tyres?
See if you can find 1 used tire.
is bison the swift of canada? lol
Ay up Trucker Josh. That's gotta be Karen's fault for not guiding you round the object that punctured your tyre and she knows it that's why she stayed quiet all vlog. 🇬🇧👍🇬🇧
Did you think about driving to the tire shop? It may have been quicker, faster, and a little cheaper. Just curious.
Can't drive that far with a flat. It'll tear apart and wreck everything around it
Flat tires are not good it cuts into your play money.
Why not carry a spare
Did you make an extreme loss bc you literally couldn't drive anywhere?
Josh, i could send you a breeding pair of Kangaroo's for that second hand tyre
It's only flat on one side
NOT a good way to start the day!
If you kept driving on it you could end up on Bonehead Truckers. lol
Twice 😂😂
It;s pronounced WaaaDeeeNaaa
Have a charity donation raffle.... The winner gets a Trucker josh and Ms Britt autographed tire.
Well Christmas is over I'm checking in with trucker Josh there's nothing else to look forward to other than the summer what is it 5 months every fucken year
This would not have happened if Diesel the Lord Weasel was on duty. Just sayen that's all. OK TEN FOUR over and out. Bye !!!
