I wasn't aware of his lack of power during his time with the Fighter. The Driveline juice is something else to unlock that section
The only reason I know about his lack of power is due to jikkyou powerful pro yakyuu 2016. I thought, “no way that’s actually the same Kondoh! That’s got to be a relative!”
I watch the highlights from Japan to see Kondoh, Maki, Itoh, and quite a few others because we’re watching them in their prime NOW! Telling you, we need a mid season All Star Games where MLB stars take on Nipon All stars. I think that would be a great All Star game!!!!
My favorite player by far. Saw him play live for the first time this weekend in yokohama
Still heartbroken we lost him on the Fighters, but it's still so exciting to watch him play, and I'm glad he's continuing to do well!
Miss him at the Fighters
Also his lack of power and numerous injuries were due to playing in the huge Sapporo Dome and playing on basically concrete ground for 10 years, anyone would wanna get outa there lol
love guys like him
Thank you for the upload..
He is such a well-rounded player!
He’s got that ty cobb “ima just hit homers now” attitude
Seems like he enjoys being a big fish in a small pond that he is familiar with making great money. Honestly can't blame him as we do see it in other sports every now n then.
He's MLB Ready
Too bad, he's never going.
He's 30 years old already. Pretty late to go to MLB. He'll start declining soon.
@@Ffollies That hasn’t stopped other guys from going. The bigger issue is that he signed a 7 year contract with a team that refuses to post players.
@@zkiiffs9 Granted a lot of NPB players move to MLB during their late 20s or even early 30s but still, 30 is pretty old, especially for a hitter. But yeah, that 7 year contract would be the bigger issue.
What amazing about him is batting eyes and also plate discipline he dubbed as bat prodigy
Another great vid. Thanks for posting.
I see where Steven Kwan got his swing from
Curious as to what separates him from Masataka Yoshida. They seem quite similar to me on the surface, but with Yoshida displaying more power.
How did Kondoh go from a mediocre defender to an elite one so quickly?
not playing at the Sapporo Dome is your answer
@@derkaiserzen It’s that tough on outfielders?
@@zkiiffs9 Sapporo Dome surface is Astroturf..
that's bad for anyone not just their knees, if you see the saves he did during his Fighter tenures, you'll be surprised how his body could still hold up
Smh, you said all that but didn't tell at all why exactly won't he ever play in the mlb?
He should go to the dodgers. Play ss and move mookie to second
🤮
