I already have several models, the 6300 4g and three 5310 2020s, I am also tempted by this and in the end I believe that I will buy it, for collecting more than anything else. I'm still baffled that it's not 4G, but it's obviously not intended for US use. This seems to be an Asian/Indian market device. I have the ones Nokia currently sells in the US (6300 & 225) and these are 4G and quite reliable for calls and UA-cam on T-Mobile's LTE network.
I wish there were more phones made like the qin f21 pro. Nokia could taken advantage of these classics by updating them to modern times. I feel they're just selling these remade classics on nostalgia and not user experience in this day and age
Great review, I wish I saw this before buying. I'm processing a return of it right now as despite loving the phone, the battery life not being as advertised is a deal breaker.
yesterday I bought a Nokia 6300 (note the lack of 4G in the name, I assumed it was some cut-down version for Latin America as we always get over here) for 30 bucks that runs this operating system instead of KaiOS; even the Menu arrangement is the same and Opera Mini is the same version that looks like the Java version of old but it uses the KaiStore icon; the build quality is on par with my legit Nokia 150 2020 (that made me even doubt the legitimacy of my own phone which came from my service provider itself) the battery and charger looks legit so I am baffled as why would they put this much effort into a counterfeit of a low cost device that sells for less than half the price of the original one. main reason I am keeping it is because the screen is leagues above the Nokia 150 in quality and the device itself works as intended as a dumb phone.
Huh, I guess the theory is true. Edge is the only 2.5 MHz channel spectrum left, and TMobile is the carrier of the international travelers in the US. I'd heard post 2021 they were going to keep running it on their leader bands for international travelers. Since theoretically their 2g network is "shut down."
@@JoseBriones the 4g in this device is pretty much useless without WiFi and hotspot. But I have to give Nokia credit for it because the 6310 support Bluetooth Le 5.0 , in other words, it fully support tws earbuds like smartphones
I heard somewhere that 2G is very unsafe because it's easy for a malicious party to create an antenna and the phones will attach without questioning. Have you heard something similar?
The technical level to do this is not for your everyday "hacker." So yes it is not as safe as LTE or 3G, but it's not unsafe either. You can have 2G and encrypted communications at the same time.
@@JoseBriones Yep, you can certainly encrypt the communication. However I think phone calls and sms are not encrypted. your provider can certainly read all your sms in plain text. this is not the case of RCS.
I just bought this phone and I noticed that sms doesn't come with the name of the sender. I only see the number of the sender instead of the name I stored the number with. Please can this be fixed ? Or is it how they built the phone
I tried rebooting but it didn't work. Although I figured out another way to resolve the problem, which is by adding the countries code number before every number e,g +234 for Nigeria. The problem is solved now. Thanks for your reply 👍
Nokia always gets me with nostalgia. It's a shame a lot of their phones don't work with so many carriers.

It's good, but not great. Sadly their headphone jack and codecs are low quality due to the Operating System: Thread X.

Thats the point of having a phone like this.No internet access, or very limited.Ideal for digital detox.
2G works in the UK till 2033.

In the case of normal use, how long does the battery last?.. and what about your experience of the sound of the call, is it clear to the elderly

No zoom option on photos and no ability to save an sms to calendar. Cheaper phones can do this Nokia!

What about the sound of the call, is it clear and strong?.. Most modern Nokia phones suffer from low call volume!!
It's good on the earpiece, and quiet on the speaker part.
