WOW. If more malls looked like this, there'd be fewer dead malls. Awesome architectural elements. Entrance looked incredible. Now I feel like I need to go Christmas shopping.
I love the natural light from the skylight ceiling. Plus the fountains were great! It is so nice to see a thriving mall! It reminds me of my childhood. Although I prefer the older style mall’s from the 60’s-90’s. Although the modern design works in this mall. My son is going to college in the Orlando area this coming September. Depending on the distance, I may have to find this mall when I visit him. There are some thriving malls like this in NJ. I went to one this past summer to meet up with a friend.
Raises hand, that I wouldn't mind seeing the Gardens footage. Even if it is a little old. This was a REALLY great video, thanks for posting this. Side note if you ever go to Jackson, Mississippi, you'd really like Highland Village. This outdoor mall punches far above its weight, has multiple fountains, a lot of nice old decor, and a mom and pop department store(Maison Weiss) that is still open there. Lot of upscale shops there, such as even a location for Sur La Table.
Tbh Sommerset Collection may be the healthiest mall I ever seen. There's a skywalk and even one half of the malls has upper class type stores and a fancy steakhouse with Kobe beef lol.
I don't like this mall much but I absolutely love all the fountains on the inside and outside of this place. I would want to shop here just to get to see and be next to the fountains.😊⛲⛲
I was thinking the same thing! I went to this mall back in 2013 and it was actually busy! Plus when my cuz lived in Orlando she went shopping here sometimes.
I live about five minutes from this mall. I’ve visited several malls in the Orlando area in the past year that I’ve lived here, and this one is my favorite. It’s got such a warm and welcoming environment, a lot of the stores are out of my price range but it’s also got the established mall chains such as Buckle, Hollister, American Eagle, etc. I’ve seen it a lot busier than in this footage too. I think it’s worth noting that both the Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s anchors are three level stores as well. The Florida Mall is the tourist mall and it’s far too crowded, everything is white and grey, and the food court is a joke compared to Millenia. Reasons to go to The Florida Mall over Millenia would be if you want to shop more of the regular mall staples and it’s got a Dillard’s, JCPenney, and even a Sears which miraculously continues to stay open.
Oh and Somerset is my local mall here in Michigan and totally worth the trip. Interesting history, timeless design, beautiful water features and a freaking skywalk!
I've been here once back in 2005. This mall is way out of my budget, even with my 2024 salary. There is no way this mall is dead. The mall is sparkling clean, busy, and modern.
I went to Orlando International Premium Outlets today, and it was VERY busy. I consider Mall at Millenia the fancy mall because of all the high end stores. Tourists probably love it, but I prefer to not spend my money on things like that.
how on earth could anyone claim this mall is dead? the decor is great it has some awesome fountains & the christmas tree looks like its right out of a movie. the outside of the mall is more inviting then the inside of a lot of the malls you have toured. for me this one is up there with the mall in fargo (and no i don't want to pick which is better)
I’ve heard some locals say Millenia was dead, but mostly I’ve heard people call it boring. If you have no budget, it’s a great mall 😂 Most locals hate going there because the traffic around that mall is a nightmare. It’s so close to I4 that traffic is easily backed up. 😩
Beautiful modern mall! I don't see how anyone cpuld say it's dead unless they meant it's boring or something. The only negative I can think of is the environmental impact of all this development. Stop paving over paradise!
This is Hardly a “ Dead Mall” the food court area was pretty busy from some real Dead Malls I’ve seen online .A beautiful mall with beautiful very expensive High End stores and boutiques even I couldn’t really afford to shop in . Neiman-Marcus ; MontBlanc ; Tiffany & Co. All out of my price league . The Mall in Roanoak The Tanglewood Mall was an Ok mall but a very Dead Mall very little to no people and not much in the way of shopping . In comparison to this Florida mall opposite ends of the Soectrum !!
Thanks and Keep em Rolling!

The sister of this mall essentially in Sarasota known as the University Town Center built in 2014 is also doing really well.
Just don't stray away from the parking lot

Oh, how I wish I had something like this in my city still. Happy New Year!
Merry Christmas! Lovely mall, I will definitely check this one out next time I am in that area, it's very attractive and has great stores
Beautiful mall
The Gardens Mall, which is my local mall was also developed by Forbes Company, It lost its Sears earlier this year.
This mall is amazing 👏 its not a dead mall by any chance 😊
Nice mall love it
Very Wonderful Video!!!! I really Love the Fountains!!!! F+L, Corey
I'd love to see you do Aventura Mall.
Was just here doing some christmas shopping!
Malls in Florida should do as well as a liquor store that sells lottery tickets in downtown Chicago. Another great one Doomie

Christmas decorations are top notch!🎄

Its not "mall heyday holiday" busy, but its far from dead. Looks to have many years in front of it.

Nice video and nice mall
Welcome to my area Doomie
Fun fact, this mall is actually what the Mall of Marvels asset from Cities Skylines is based on.
