    It’s 3:45 am and about 10 minutes I just had an encounter with a spider (I think it was a tarantula) and I tried to kill it but it ran away so I got back up in the form of my dad. Me and my dad killed the spider soon after. We won, this happened in my bedroom and I noticed the spider by hearing it

    He did such a great job directing [and writing the screenplay] for Richard Ford's "Wildlife." As a big Ford fan, his work is not the easiest to translate from a novel into a film.

    I think it’s time Hollywood started taking bigger risks with the types of movies they make and the actors they cast in those roles. Imagine an adaptation of Camus’ “The Stranger.” Dano would make an excellent Meursault. Or even a good Rieux if they did The Plague.

    • @violinsinthevoid4579
      @violinsinthevoid4579 2 роки тому

      Wow! I’m two years late to your comment, but Paul Dano ad the good doctor Rieux would be so fitting. I think that book can use a more sparse and art-house adaptation.

    My family had the last video store for 60 miles in any direction where we lived. It was sad watching it lose to digital media. I miss it so much. If i was rich I'd open it back up, because it sure didn't make any money the last few years before it closed. I was able to watch so many movies i otherwise would never have seen. Man, take me back.

    Just seeing him in the batman trailers, I can tell he’s perfect for the riddler role, he’s just got that creepy almost psychotic look that he can make out of a villain and can turn it to scary.

    For those of us he grew up during the 1970s, PBS was the original Criterion or Janus Films. Every Sunday night at 9pm, or later, we got to see all the classics of the 40s, 50s, and 60s from Great Britain, France, Italy, and Japan. And no commercials! This was before laserdisc and Blu-ray. It was a free film education. Miss those days 😊

    I liked Paul Dano since "There Will Be Blood". Mr. Dano is a well-rounded actor with huge talent. I am happy that this latest role in The Batman has allowed the world to see how tremendously talented this man really is. I think it will be smooth sailing for him from here on out. I would not be surprised if he's nominated for an Oscar for his role as The Riddler. If he is nominated, it will be only the second time in the history of cinema, behind Heath Ledger and The Joker, that a comic book based character has been nominated for an Oscar. And if he were to win, also the second win, again, behind Heath Ledger and The Joker, that a comic book character took home Oscar gold. I think he has a great chance!
