I find Topaz gives me nothing but oversharpening and strange artifacts that don’t exist in my image. But each to their own. I do love it for my terrestrial photography I have to say.
@@PaulymanAstro yes, it can cause funny things in your images, but you can adjust the many settings in Topaz. I play around with them until I get a good result, and it works most of the time!
Sorry for the very late reply! I have been offline with Covid. I have also experienced this issue, I think it occurs when the current image is quite a bit fainter than others, so you need to click on Preview Mask and adjust the Amplification slider under Linear Mask.

Topaz De Noise works even better with just a few mouse clicks!

When I hit preview mask the screen that pops up is all black.
