The class he's playing is configured for speed and flag-grabbing. One of its features is that you can trade a large portion of your jetpack fuel for a boost to gain speed fast. It's perfect for spwaning because he has a while til the first uphill slope anyway. Everything else he does in terms of skiing is just practice and knowing game mechanics.
@CouLesKy This VOD was from back in March prior to the patch that made self nitrons cause the flag to drop. The timing was coincidental with my own nitron but I was indeed nitroned by an enemy player. You can see other examples of self buttoning with the flag at other points in the video.
So far it is either 7v7 or 8v8, different teams have different preferences. Pretty much all the classes see some use, even the Brute to a limited degree.
@TheSmallKiwiBird hey Kiwi, I saw your fps always 80 to 90 ish, my machine is way more powerfull then the recomended specs for TA but I often have huge framedrops and the game just doesnt run as smooth as yours. Did you do anyting special or someting??

It's an expensive item for the pathfinder that pretty much makes you instantly go from 0kmph to 98kmph in a matter of miliseconds by pressing one button. It's a taint to the definition of "going fast".

Reach allows you to pretty much ignore map debris and HoFs. That's critical and absolutely ridiculous and has nothing to do with the pathfinder's specialty.
I wish I had some friends for tribes they all sit on console CoD and BF3 and the one thing I miss is sometimes good teamplay.I mean when you have some high level medium or light class player ( heavy mostly is just booster and gen room farm and should stay at the flag anyway ) in your team they are often good enough to team up without talking but still so many times I just can`t tell my team quick enough what is going on -.-
All of the things you said you wanted to see are present. If you don't like the games here, then too bad for you. Nobody's forcing you to watch competitive T:A.
of course thats what I said "...and gen room farm and should stay at the flag anyway..." and yea Gen is kinda useless when no pub but not 100% because of the DMBs force fields turrets can be avoided by a good flag capper but if some forcefilds are in a good posidtion they can stop a path easily or at least make him lose enough HP to have a chance of shooting him down before he caps...

Game was only about half full (or half empty for the pessies). Lends to a rather shallow match in an already extremely shallow game. Watching someone do the same route over and over again, broken up by the often repeated suicide teleport, isnt very exciting. When he switched to Soldier...and was holding the AR (facepalm)...I lost it all.

Because the biggest threat in a standoff is nitrons knocking the flag around, and Heavies, while beefy, are just enormous walls that absorb nitrons.

Those are part of the problem but the pathfinder packs are broken also. The thrust-pack and bolt launcher would be considered "pay to win".

It used to be that using a nitron on yourself did not cause a flag drop. Once they realised this made nitrons overpowered, they changed it.
