Yes! Makes me think of Utah (which I have not been to!) but I used to rock climb a lot and the images of the big wall there were always amazing and red!
Hi Natalie, I’ll have a look at the video and get back to you about the brushes. In terms of colours I’m not the best person to talk about that. I just use colours that I like and I think work well together. I do not really know why they do! Cheers Scott
Hi Natalie, I have used a limited palette for many years. The main ones are: yellow ochre, raw umber, burnt umber, raw sienna, burnt sienna, occasional cad yellow, alizirium crimson, Cad red, light red, cobalt blue, cerulean blue, Payne’s grey, Windsor blue red shade, cobalt turquoise and cobalt turquoise light. That’s about it.. I’ll have a look at those brushes. 👍🙏
Hi Val! Tony has been my mentor and teacher from the age of 12! He is my biggest influence when it comes to painting! I was talking to him the other day snd he was saying he is happy for me to demonstrate any of his techniques that are in his books! An amazingly generous man! 👍👍

You’re the Bob Ross of Watercolor! I mean that as a compliment.
Thanks Sue! I totally take that as a compliment! Just need to grow my hair! 👍😄
Very nice, I like the misty sea and the colours you used. It is very expressive. Here I got the mountains I've been asking in another tutorial...
Hi Rohi!! Glad you found a mountain painting and liked the recent video. 👍
It is amazing how much a scratched in line, denoting the water makes, it totally transforms the image. Thank you for sharing your talents with us.
I know! It really can change a painting! Sometimes I do that sort of process probably a bit too often! lol
Absolutely love this, man!
Simple but lovely! 👍👍👍
I like this..some of us in U.S. might say a ‘southwestern’ look..palette and design.

No worries Fadi! glad you liked it.
Could you comment more about the brushes and why these colors work well together?

@@ScottSwinson Well, that makes sense. Do you ever create palettes like some artists or just pull out some colors and let it fly?

Have you encountered Tony Smibert down there in Tassie, Scott?

What’s the rationale behind using a hake brush?
It puts a lot of paint into the paper without getting stuck doing too much detail.
