- Last week, my wife told me that she couldn't get the roof to close - at which point I discovered that there is very little practical help on-line. So I am publishing my exploration and discovery ( you will probably be amazed how long it takes me to spot what now seems obvious)
Sorry about the poor camera work and rambling explanations. I don't know anything about making You Tube videos .
There are a few videos, which together get us to the end of the project - and I'm publishing all of them as there might be useful snippets in each video.
That little pin actually sits in the hole on that slider. you may have to use some muscle to get it in, it happened to mine.
Agreed
Took me far too long to work out what the holes were for.
@@doisterroister these tops are so complicated with so many plastic parts. I owned a MINI Cooper convertible before and it was so much easier.
Isn't the pin supposed to go into the sledge? Seems like is has a hole in it to go to....
You're exactly right. Took me ages to spot the obvious !!
Isn't there a little stn. stl. Bushing that goes over the pin that inserts in that mechanical stop block?
I am experiencing the exact same problem currently for the past week and I’m dreading taking it to fiat as I’m sure I’ll be charged an arm and leg
Hi Jennifer. Sorry to hear that. Is it closing most of the way?
