- Hi Everyone, thanks for tuning in.
Today is a little different, a nice diversion from the bees, I get to fix new IP ( Internet Protocol) cameras in to my well established barn owl box.
Here's the link to Green feathers: Cameras www.green-feathers.co.uk
The three cameras were supplied by Green Feathers, in the uk. They are IP Cameras which technically means they have their own internet address and can allow much better quality pictures and a better "streamable" source.
The Cameras have their own individual wifi so you can just plug and play if you have a power source, whereas I use my new scheilded Cat 6 cable which allows the cameras to be powered from my POE (Power over Ethernet ) switches.
This all may seem very complicated but it's actually very simple. My cameras will appear anywhere on my house network when connected.
RJ45 is the standard connector for CAT6.
Don't be put of by new technology, IP Cameras replace all the old video based camera systems and even thought they are good, the new systems offer way more smart technology.
I learnt enough to get me started, you can do too. It's just time!!
Have fun.
Enjoy the show tomorrow and wow that’s gona be amazing seeing the owls
Really nice Richard, enjoy your day tomorrow as well.👍🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Pretty cool Richard. I'd drill a couple 1/2" holes at an angle at the bottom on the owl grip instead of the slots for the water to drip out. Just a thought. .
That looks likeone of Griff's yards..
Nice, you need to spray organic BT (bacylius thuringiengis) on your box bush (buis) to protect it from the unvasive box moth. Saved mine.
Do you miss the good old English weather? :)
Smart making the landing board
