I am LOVING the look I can get with these embossing folders accented with the metallic gilding polish! I can't wait to play with these some more. It's hard to resist collecting all the colors out there. Will you give this a try?
Thank you so much for this video, I was using the sponge that comes in the lid and thought I was doing something wrong, but after watching your video I will use the ink blenders instead. So again thank you so much for sharing
Hello and good day Amy. Wow,wow, wow. I absolutely love the way you used gold and silver hi lights too make a awesome card, and to be able to use them for any occasion. Thank you for the directions.
Amy, what a great tip to use the Ranger blending foams with the metallic polish! I just bought 2 jars of the metallic polish and felt the same way about those foam pads that come with the polish. I couldn't really see what was happening on my paper and not enough control over where the polish was placed. Thanks for the tip AND. your cards look amazing!
Wow this looks soooooo cool!!!! Especially love the Altenew Whimsical Bouquest... These look really great on the black cardstock.. just went and purchased the gold stuff you used! Thanks for sharing!
I just love how these came out! 😱😍. I agree, they do look like those tin ceiling tiles. Really enjoyed watching these come together, and that polish is such a cool product, too. I also spritz a little water on my cs when using emb folders, it helps not crack the cs, great tip. As always thanks for sharing!🤗🙏
Thanks for this lovely card tutorial! I tried finding the cards on your blogg, but I didn't find them. Are they there? If not, can you show some photos of them? Keep on making things and show them! 🥰
Thanks so much! I don't think it would be on my blog. I usually just create a blog post for the new release at A Colorful life designs and that's about it. I appreciate you checking out the vid!
@@amyswares ok. Thanks for answers. Do you have photos of the cards, that I can get? Its not easy to get a ok photo of them in the video. When you make a video, can you try to show the finished product long enough for us to take photos of them? Thank you in advanc.

@@amyswares Question about word dies - do you have favorites and where would be the best places to stock up on basic, every day used all the time dies?
@@lindastenberg8570 that's a very good question. I find that I like bigger sentiment dies because I work with so many stencils I feel like they can create a good sentiment focal point to go along with stencils. Hero Arts has some nice chunky ones. Simon says stamp has quite a few. I especially like the graphic look of the Cathy Zielski line called cz designs at Simon Says Stamp. And I use pinkfresh Studio ones quite a bit. This video is going to get me into trouble! I had a few Cosmic Shimmer Metallic and Opal polishes, but hadn’t tried them until this video. I loved your video and liked the polishes I had, but if one or two are good, why not buy more? 🤣 I now have 21 of them and love all of them except one opal which is too light to see on white paper and doesn’t really wow me on black paper. I haven’t made a complete card yet, but I have a few backgrounds and sentiments ready to go. I’m a batch card maker like you, and it takes awhile for me to settle on a few layouts I like, but once I do, I get busy making components. My favorite opals are Golden Flamingo (pink/peach), Blue Parakeet (blue/lime green), Blue Lavendar and Blue Wisteria. I love all of the metallics I have. The glitter kiss polishes are also beautiful, but you really need to layer those to get full coverage.
Ooh good to know on those other colors! I can't remember how many I have maybe 6 or 8? I got a couple more for Christmas. Thanks so much for the note and for watching my fellow "Batcher" ❤️
Hi Amy love what you have done. had my polishes for a while not knowing what to do now have some great ideas you had a plastic film over the jar is this a gadwrap also one of mine has dried do you know how I can get it to work again
How would it go if you stenciled with the paste first & then embossed. I know it would look as good, but just an idea to try maybe? Does the paste dry soft or crispy? Great cards for guys ❤️🇦🇺
Yea I will give that a go next time. I just didn't really want to clean out my embossing folder if it transfered over. Lol. Not really sure how it will go but definitely worth a try. Thanks for watching friend.
Hi I just recently got a 2nd hand cuttlebug machine (mini) and was wondering about the cardstock going with the embossing folder ... does the cardstock can only be used if the thickness of the paper isn't thick. For some reason it wouldn't go through and it felt like the handle was going to snapped right off.
Just check the instructions for your specific embossing machine and see what your sandwich is supposed to be. 3D embossing folders tend to be thicker than regular ones so factor that in.
@@amyswares the instruction doesn’t say a lot but I do however have plate A & 2 of plate B. I’ve tried putting Plate A, folder with paper then plate B and there was a bit of gap but couldn’t find the right amount of paper to run it through..
@@amyswares Good morning, Amy. I didn't have any results in my search, so I decided, as the polishes are water-based, no wax, to drip some water into the jar, not a lot, maybe a dessert spoonful, lid screwed back on, given a good shake and left overnight. Looking at it today, the polish is definitely softer, although not liquid, and I will try it later on a test piece. I went with the thought that if it didn't work, I'd lose nothing by trying. 😃🤞
Hi there, I'm not sure but I just did a quick Google search and saw someone say that they spritzed a little water to reconstitute it. I can't tell you with certainty though as I haven't tried it. I would recommend putting some press and seal on it after if you are able to reconstitute it. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
